More Gorgeous Unity!

Morning everyone, We have some more beautiful Unity for you today. I've combined two sets- one is possibly one of my favourite sets for its versatility
and..
All week we're saying a gentle goodbye to one of the brands in store by showcasing the remaining stock. You get a massive 25% off any of the sets that are left before they go altogether . Just enter the code UNITY25 at checkout and the discount will automatically be applied when your order goes through.
Forgive me for posting old projects- but I hope you can see what other projects you could create with Harvest of Memories in particular

This post is way long enough without me waffling on.
I'm off, braving the wind today on a beach walk with my 3 youngest. It sure beats a day vegging although a day stamping? Well that's another matter!
See you next week!

Christmas Wreath!

Good morning! Yay; managed to post in the morning!
Is it too early to post about Christmas? Will you throttle me?
I did warn you if you didn't clean the shop out of Harvest of Memories, that I'd be back with a Christmas one.. so ta daaa!
I've been surprised at how versatile this set is.. just look..
I've not even got around to focussing on the bigger stamps yet!
The poinsettias are made from the leaves too- just trimming of the stem portions and adhering two together. Just shows how fab those 5 little plain leaves are. I'd die-cut a circle out of the card & made a 'hoop' out of cardstock to mount the leaves on, which meant I could easily raise the wreath off the card blank too.
Having been Christmas crafting for some months now, I'm getting ready for the next 'occasion'. That might well be Easter or Valentines. Maybe I just might do this set again next week ?

Well- better vamoosh!

See you next Tuesday,

Hanging Leaves !

Hey! How are you all? I'm popping by with another card using the set from last week.
I'm quite smitten by all those leaves & rather than imitate movement, I thought I'd suspend them on thread & hang them from a thin rectangle of card.
By simply adding two layers of 3D foam pads- there's enough clearance for them to 'float' and give the impression of falling.
I've used this Unity set 'Harvest of Memories'

It's a wonderful set- if you don't go and clear and the store out of this gorgeous set- I'll do a Christmas themed card next time!

Happy creating!

Keren xx

Autumn Thanks!

Good morning- or should I say Afternoon!
It's a little blowy & the leaves are falling & it made me think of this set.

and yes, I did cut out EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE LEAVES!
and no, my hand is fine- I just watched TV whilst I was doing it. Cutting out the leaves was far more interesting and is strangely therapeutic.
I love the riot of colour & just making a feature of such small stamps in the set! Wish my back garden looked just as pretty!
Well, better fly off,
plenty more crafting to do.. keep an eye out on here.. rumours have it that an exciting chance to pre-order is about to present itself!

Happy Tuesday, and Happy Autumn,

5 minute Tag!

Hey! Hope you're all ok.
Today I'm speeding in and out.
We're all a bit time-poor often & this morning is no exception!
My daughter phoned to ask for her locker key which she'd left at home- before I could run back to school, I needed to attach the key to something so it didn't get lost.
I couldn't pass up the chance to stamp and so this whole tag was completed in just over 3mins from start to finish.
Sometimes super speedy is ok.

The set is a beautiful Unity one called Harvest of Memories and as Autumn looks like its fully ensconced in the current seasons armchair, we may as well start to embrace it!
Here's the set.
Just beautiful isn't it!

Well, am speeding off,
enjoy your day!

Happy Fall

I have a little autumnal card for you this evening - made with some of my favourite stamp sets from Unity and Lawn Fawn.

As the main focal, I've used a checkered frame stamp and sentiment from Unity's Harvest Of Memories. As an accent, I've stamped and coloured a pretty floral from Unity's Quiet Essence, removing the leaves from the stamp and adding a little leaf frond from Lawn Fawn's Blissful Botanicals instead. I've then added a hand-rolled paper rose, with a little pearl inside. Done!

Nearly, But Not Quite, Autumn

It's nearly autumn. I can feel it in the air and I am so excited. Every year I eagerly anticipate the return of thick tights, scarfs and woolly jumpers. And, of course, the return of slightly colder weather and the odd rain storm that make me feel justified in staying indoors to craft and drink copious amounts of tea!

I busted out one of my autumn stamp sets earlier today, just to start playing around with some ideas that I've had in my head for a little while.

Happy Fall

I used just one of my stamp sets from Make The Day Special (Unity's Harvest Of Memories)to create the card, because it comes with so many different little leaf stamps and the perfect sentiments. To make sure that I could easily stamp the leaves in a circle, I actually cut apart one of the longer stamps to make each leaf an individual stamp. Shock! Cutting my stamps.

The resulting card isn't quite what I was expecting. It's one of those projects I think is 'nearly, but not quite' but I'll definitely going to be trying this again with some different colours, techniques and probably a bit more layering. It's good to experiment, right?

*** By the way, if you've not visited Make The Day Special for a little while, be sure to take a peek at Emily's new stock - there's new Zig Pens from Kuretake, Papersmooches Stamps from Kim Hughes and there's some fantastic reductions in the August Sale. ***

Pretty Packaging To Make The Day Special

Hello! I've been sharing some pretty packaging over on my own blog this week - and I didn't want you to miss out! I made an envelope parcel for a swap recently and decorated it with lashings of ribbon, flowers and, of course, stamps that you can find at Make The Day Special.

Pretty Packaging

The leaves on the embellishment were handstamped using stamps from Blissful Botanicals - one of Lawn Fawn's 2011 Summer Release sets - and one of the leaves from Unity's beautiful set Harvest Of Memories.

I hope this gives you some ideas for using your stamps outside of the usual cards and scrapbook layouts - I know I've definitely got a few more off the page projects planned for the summer!
