Throwback...Sunday?!

Hello,hello!
Its Lou here, mixing things up by posting this on a Sunday, with another not-so-retro throwback of Avery Elles-the scrumptious Air Mail set. I know I say this every time (well hey,I DO have a stamp addiction ;-) ) but I really really love this set!
I had lots of penpals when I was younger,so I get very drawn to all the mail type sets out there. This card has a teeny tiny cameo appearance from the Lawn Fawn You've Got Mail set,in the form of  those small squiggles on the 'stamp'. The small pinked square is from the Wplus9 set Pinking Squares.

And a closer look....

Thats all from me for now! Happy Sunday folks :-)

Summer Dreaming

Hello Everyone.. Jenny here to inject some summer into the beginning of June!!

Yes, so far we haven't had much of that Summer feeling here in the UK and with the
longest day approaching I thought I would try and tempt Mr Sunshine back
with my Strawberry themed card...

These juicy berries are made using the Fresh Picked stamp set and dies from Wplus9.
I found it easier to stamp the two part berries first before die-cutting using the method from this
blog post.... I cut the leaves the same way and then fussy cut the smaller strawberry and leaf.
The aperture has been made using the largest Pinking square die with faux stitching added for detail
... yes it is a little wonky but that's how it would look if it was real stitching!!!
I've used a dienamics die to cut some vellum for the sentiment
so it would stand out above the gingham.

Well our strawberries plants are flowering nicely in the allotment so hopefully with the right weather we should be in for a good crop this year... fingers crossed eh!!

Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out on the website for the next pre-orders which are
going to be Wplus9.... they have some gorgeous eye candy in their recent releases *wink*
