A Touch of Ribbon

Hello!

I hardly ever use ribbon on my cards....I can never get it to sit right, can't tie a bow etc etc.  It just never seems to work for me BUT now I have the fabulous Beautiful Bow set from Avery Elle I can stamp my ribbon in any colour I want :)

I have made a few Christmas cards with this set and paired it with a sentiment from the Fa La La set.

 

I love how easy it is to create the look of a wrapped present with these stamps.  I red embossed the ribbon and backed it with some red glitter paper to add a bit of festive bling.

 

Changing the colour creates a different look again and I went with a fave colour combo of black and gold here.  A very simple design which would be easy to use if batch making Christmas cards.

 

 

I masked the ribbon here to create the look of a wrapped present with some holly tucked in (the holly here is from Waltzingmouse Stamps but this Holly Jolly set from Hero Arts would give a similar look).

 

Obviously the ribbon stamps will work perfectly with any sentiment so is a year round set and one which is quick and easy to use.  Now I can add ribbon to my cards whenever I feel like it :)

 

I am sad to say this is my last post for Make the Day Special - I have had great fun and want to thank Tara and the rest of the fabulous DT for their friendship, support and inspiration over the past 9 months.  I will be checking back regularly to get my daily dose of inspiration!  Thank you too for your positive comments and visits :)
