One stamp two ways

Hello.
Ive been busy playing with Lawn fawn stamps.
I thought i would show a couple of ways to use the same stamps.
The set I'm using is Admit one.
For this card I coloured the Ferris wheel with my pro markers and added it to my card base with foam backing.
For this card i wanted to use the Ferris wheel as a silhouette.
So I stamped it onto black card and did lots of cutting.
I coloured the windows using a white pen.
The clouds come from the bon voyage set.
You can find both sets here
Thanks for looking.

Born to fly

Have you seen all the gorgeous new Christy Tomlinson stamps available in the shop? They're fab for art journalling but also useful for cards and layouts.

I have the fab "tattered chicken wire" stamp which reminded me of the shape of honeycomb so I decided to use it to make a "bee" themed card.

I used Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansodor to make a background coloured panel and then stamped with the chicken wire stamp over the top of this panel using distress ink. I masked off some of the stamp as I didn't want to use the whole width of it.

I then stamped the sentiment (from Unity's "Life Becoming" kit available here) using Versafine ink before adding a K & Co vellum bee.

Materials used:
Papermill cardstock
Unity / Christy Tomlinson stamps (as above), Prismacolor pencils, Ranger distress ink, Versafine sepia ink
K & Co vellum die-cut

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out the shop as we've recently had new stock including Paper Smooches and Flourishes!!

She decided to leap

Good morning! What could be more appropriate this week than a stamp about LEAPing (that was a little leap year joke!). Emily has recently starting stocking the new and totally GORGEOUS Christy Tomlinson designs from Unity. These stamps are so beautiful, they flew off the shelves...but do not fear, more will be in stock soon.

I've used the 'She Leaped' stamp to create a journal page. The stamp is wonderfully large (my moleskin is 21x13cm) and so perfect for journalling. Here's my page - minus my text:

This was a mixed media project: paper piecing, acrylics, water colour pastels, ink spray, glossy accents, sizzix lettering and stamp embossing.

Have a happy Friday!
