Not enough coffee?

Hello.
Even though its Wednesday it still feels like a Monday to me ...i guess that's because of  the dark mornings.
So this sentiment from Reverse confetti seemed to fit my card perfectly.

I have used three sets from reverse confetti's last release the coffee cups and matching dies and the  coordinating sentiment set
I stamped the coffee swirl directly onto my card base in antique linen distress ink.
I then added a strip of gold glitter card and the black card with the heat embossed "coffee".
The coffee cup has quiet a few layers i wanted to give it some dimension so i used the paper from Avery Elle and the coffee part is lets polka in the dark from lawn fawn.
The papers are adhered to some kraft card to bulk it out.
And to finish a few gold sequins.

Interactive Cards

Hi! How are you ? Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend ( if you're in the UK, that is!).

You might have realised by now that I love interactive and 3D cards. I'm showing you one that was in PaperCrafter mag recently and thought I'd show you as it's using all Reverse Confetti products that are back in stock.

This card is capitalising on the word play in the sentiment set

http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Donut-You-Know/p/46035610/category=8451112

I've simply cut out a couple of layers, including the acetate large circle and added the different layers above and below the circle
http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Donut-You-Know/p/46035610/category=8451112

By adding a brad to the centre and attaching ( without making it too tight) the different layers you can turn the top acetate layer ( using a washi 'handle') whilst the base layer is stuck onto the cardstock and this has the sentiment that you reveal by turning the circle

http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Donut-You-Know-Confetti-Cuts/p/46035609/category=8451112

The little bits and pieces on the die really add to the donut effect ( if you can cope with the American spelling of doughnut! 😉).

Have a look at sentiment sets in store and see how you could disguise them partially and create your own interactive cards!

See you next week, when they've all returned to school!

More pretty panels.

Hello.
As I said last week I have two more projects using the same pretty panels and some other reverse confetti products.
I have gone for a different technique this time and used the die cut as a stencil..

For this card i used one of the pretty panels to add some texture paste.
While it was still wet i added some gold foil and left it to dry...don't rush this step as taking it of too soon will lead to uneven results.
Once everything was dry i added the tag to  my card base on some foam tape and added the card  strip with the sentiment and finished with some sequins and twine.

I used the same technique for this card and used the pretty panel as a stencil with the texture paste.
I coloured the tag with distress inks and perfect pearls than added the texture paste.
This gives a very subtle look and a background pattern for the little dog to go on.
With so much going on i left the dog white and just coloured the bow tie.
I placed the tag over my card base which i repeat stamped the sentiment in hero arts ombre inks.
Again i finished the  card with some clear sequins.

Pretty panels.

hello.
Thanks to Tara for filling for me last week today i have two cards showing the confetti cuts dies from reverse confetti.
I have used the diagonal pretty panels on both cards.

My first card is clean and simple and i think by using the pretty panel in lilac and silver gives a really elegant look.
I simply die cut two panels and then inlaid the silver pieces into the lilac.
For the sentiment i stamped the thanks by masking the rest of the sentiment and then fussy cut out so it was separated from the rests of the words.
Once that was in place i inked up the rest of the sentiment , again masking the thanks and stamped onto the  card base.
I finished the card with some sequins in colours to compliment the die cuts.

Next up i went with a different colour scheme and no stamping.
I used the silver pretty panel and inlaid it with some spares from others i had cut previously.
I placed this over a strip of silver washi tape and then used the die cut sentiment from the fun tag also from reverse confetti.
The products used can be found by clicking the images below.

I will be back with some completely different ways to use these pretty panels next week :)

Simply Men !

Hi! Hope you're ok. I've been talking about really simple cards recently. I thought I'd go for a man card.
'Men cards' are sometimes a little scary to do.
We often seem to send so many cards to women and so few to men.

I've used two sets

I've just die cut the waves a few times in different colours and stacked and trimmed them.

Really easy and pretty quick too.
What sort of tips do you have for men cards? Do share so we can all benefit!

See you next week,

Count Your Rainbows!

Hey! Hope you're all ok.
Today I've used some Reverse Confetti products to create this rainbow styled card.
The sentiment is all about counting rainbows and my first temptation was to go the obvious route of a literal rainbow. Then I looked at my Reverse Confetti dies and thought they'd make a fun accent to the sentiment stamp.

I did actually have the image of Iron Man's arc reactor in my head when I was creating this- so you can probably see where the design of the centrepiece came from!
I used these dies

I simply cut the large circle and then cut the smaller circle centrally out of the large coloured shapes. Simply cut out small pieces and add onto a white shape.
I stamped the 'count' onto the white ring through to the base cardstock. I wasn't sure it would stamp completely but it did!
By adding it to two layers, you can then raise the outer ring to give dimension
Add a little white gel pen stitching and you're done. Simple CAS but with a rainbow vibe!

See you next Tuesday!

Eggs & Bacon !

Hi! Hope you've all eaten..I was feeling a little peckish and had great fun creating this. I've created it using our new brand Reverse Confetti's products- and it's not at all from sets you'd expect.
The bacon? Well, that's an easy one..
http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Doin-The-Wave-Confetti-Cuts/p/46395375/category=11867162
One of the brilliant things about this die, is that each wave is equal, so it means you change the order of the waves to stack them- and I've used them simply in the background too.
For the bacon I used white cardstock and coloured it with an unusual combination of Gold ink & Plumberry Mama Elephant ink
http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Plumberry-Ink-Pad/p/43271718/category=10168038

To get the texture, I gently dabbed a nearly dry babywipe onto the ink pad and smeared the ink onto the cardstock. Because there's a little wetness on the wipe, it's a quick and easy way to spread ink. Once I'd got a combination I was happy with, I gently bent the bacon to give it a look of the real McCoy and then added a little Glossy Accents (for the glistening fat look!..yumm!). Before the Glossy Accents dried, I dabbed the babywipe back onto it, to stop it looking too uniform.
For the egg?
See the icing and the centre? there's the egg. It's out of stock- but now you've a wonderful gadget where you can fill in the 'email me when it's back in stock' next to any out of stock item to keep on top of the new stock when it comes in.
The stamp set I've used is another Reverse Confetti set
http://www.makethedayspecial.co.uk/shop.php#!/Donut-You-Know/p/46035610/category=11867162

I've obviously just used the bottom part of the sentiment- and scattered some of the teeny hearts around.
It's a fun card to send to anyone you love/like or who just likes a good old cooked breakfast!
Where's the sausages and beans?

See you next week

Thanks so very much

Hello.
Hopefully you have seen by now that Reverse Confetti is now available at Make the day special stamp store.
Some items have sold out but you can now get email notifications when they come back in stock.
I have used the diagonal stripe pretty panel die which is out of stock but there are other pretty panel designs still available that will work the same for this technique .
I used this to show the distress ink that's on the card base through the tag.
I then cut a vellum tag and stamped the sentiment from lots to say in black archival ink and added it over the white die cut tag.
I finished with some enamel dots.
