My favourite things of 2015

Hello. 

Its my turn to share my favourite things for 2015.

Its no secret that i have the biggest craft crush on anything Winnie and Walter. 

Which made it especially difficult to choose between sets.

I  went with In bloom Addies garden.

I have used this set a lot and i don't think i could ever get bored with it. 

Whether its water colouring embossing you can always change how each image looks making it so very versatile.

 

Second up on my favourites is Gleeful gardens from Lawn fawn.

I love this set so much. 

Although it has really simple images you an really pack a punch by layering them up changing the colours or making scenes.

They are great for decorating enveloped for crafty friends too. 

Soo many options.

  

Third  and this was tough to just stop here lol ....but its Newtons Christmas cuddles stamp set.

I have always been a cat person so the newtons cats stamps really are just perfect.

I love this set in particular it has such sweet images and can be used any time not just for Christmas.

   

I hope you enjoyed seeing my fave three things from this year.

If i was gonna be naughty and share a fourth it would be this and this and this honestly that counts as one :) ...just saying.

Classy Rudolf!

Hi! Hope you're enjoying this Tuesday. 

With the flurry of crafting going on around, I thought I'd do some repeated stamping. 

One small image- giving a bigger impact.

I've used this stylised image from the Winnie & Walter set 'Comfort & Joy'

There's rather a lot you can do with these images. The wreaths are great around the reindeer's heads, the wording is great for a background.

I've wanted to dress up Rudolph/Rudolf!!

I sewed a couple of bells onto the antlers and gave a few of the deers some gold leafing.

I added in some slightly softer colours to try and make the card a little more sophisticated whilst adding the tiny nose to give a bit of humour and let your recipient know that it is Rudolph; all grown up and a bit classier!! 

The Hero Arts inks are great for solid images- they give good coverage although they do dry slightly darker so that's worth remembering!

Well, that's enough from me, I'm sure you've all got plenty of crafting/shopping/eating mince pies to get on with!

In Bloom: Hollies festive florals

Hello.

I have more to share today using Winnie and Walters fabulous new release. 

If you missed Keren's amazing card yesterday also using Winnie and Walter please check it here you wont be disappointed.

First up i have two cards using patterned paper. 

Its something i often struggle with but ive had these papers a while and decided they needed some love.

I kept it simple and cut a panel and used two papers and a strip of glitter tape as the background.

I stamped the beautiful wreath from  In bloom hollies festive florals and fussy cut.

I place it onto the card and added some sequins as berries and the sentiment from merry and bright.

Continuing with the patterned paper ive use d a smaller strip and along with the glitter tape again.

I made the panel bigger and die cute the edge with a lawn fawn border for interest.

The sentiment is from the happy Christmas set.

Now i have created a different effect using the circles that make the berries for the wreath that are also from the in blooms hollies festive florals set.

I stamped them over and over to create a bokeh style. I used the altenew inks and they work so well for this technique.

The sentiment was stamped in black  and to finish i added some diamond stickles.

Again with the stamped bokeh but this time i stamped the wreath over the top and added some red stickles over the berries. 

Another sentiment from the merry and bright set and its complete.

Peace & Leaf & Wreath!

 

 

Hi! Hope you're ok.

I love leaves, love wreaths, and love this set from Winnie & Walter; Renee's Leaves

The great thing about all of these leaf and floral sets, is that all the images are kept the same sizes across the sets, so you can mix and match them perfectly.

Creating this soft look is pretty easy. I've stamped in Versamark and added Hero Arts white embossing powder

 

 

 

with both the Renee's Leaves set and In Bloom: Elsa's Floras

 

Heat to set and then blend in various colours of ink. Trim them out and create a wreath shape, allowing the leaves to be free from adhesive at the top and only adhering them at the base. Once you've stacked all the flowers and leaves into a nice shape, stamp the sentiment using this set. With everything that's been happening in the world in the past few days, I thought that the sentiment was appropriate.

The leaves can be used throughout the year and you can change the treatment of them.

Here, in this sample, I've stamped in black, sponged again but only partially and added some detailing using a black fineliner.



 

 





How would you use the leaves? You can't see in the photo, but I've added a generous layer of sparkle and I added the red layer to give it more of a contemporary look. Sadly, the card's girth or 'hips' as I like to call them, are rather too wide! ;-)  It was too late to trim it down by the time I realised that the proportions could have been improved. 

 

Do have a rummage around all the new Releases from Winnie & Walter. I've really enjoyed playing with the new sets.

Jingle all the way

Hello.

I'm still playing with Winnie and Walter stamps this week but with a very different look.

I have used the Comfort and joy stamp set from the latest release and given it a warhol style.

To start i die cut four squares of white card stock.

I then heat embossed the bell on each one in bright embossing powders.

Then i used distress sinks with a blender to colour the erst of the square.

Once in place on my card blank i just stamped the sentiment in black ink.

I like this clean and simple look it would work great with other images in the set too.

Merry & Bright floral Christmas

        

Hello.

The new release from Winnie and Walter is here and available to buy.

It has really beautiful stamp sets for Christmas and i wanted to show off the fabulous In bloom;Elsas florals stamp set.

This card is coloured mostly with copics.

I don't class my self as good at colouring but i am so pleased with how this turned out.

I started off stamping one flower and coloured it and then it progressed with lots more masking and stamping and colouring.

When i was happy i had enough elements i added all the masks back on and stamped the leaves all around the edges and blended some tumbled glass distress ink all over

I then die cut the coloured panel with the largest Lawn fawn scalloped rectangles.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Merry and bright in gold.

To add some extra detail and tie in with the gold sentiment i added a a gold die cut stitched rectangle frame.

Finally i lightly sprayed some glimmer mist and added some clear sequins and some dots of stickles.

The card is full of sparkle.

In Bloom: Addie's garden

Hello.

I was practising some copic colouring and that led to today's card.

I have used the beautiful floral set from Winnie and Walter In Bloom: Addie's garden.

I stamped the flowers and leaves onto some smooth white card in light green and yellow inks from momento.

I then coloured with copics.

I'm not sure i nailed the no line look but it can only get better right? 

Once all the images were coloured i fussy cut them.

I had some die cut panels that i coloured with distress inks and layered together.

Before stamping the sentiment i also splashed lots of gold onto the coloured panel.

Once everything was in place i added lots of little touches of sparkle.

Clear and gold sequins some drops of glossy accents and wink of stella.
