Wazzup!!

Wazzup!!  That's What this adorable Li'l Grumpy wants to know, he's from the Li'l Grumpies set of stamps by Smeared Ink. The Li'l Grumpy is stamped with a multicoloured dye ink pad, I then blended the image with a blender pen before heat embossing with clear embossing powder.  I inked up an embossing folder with the same ink, put a piece of white card stock in it, and ran it through my machine, I gave this a quick blend before heating embossing it.  I cleaned my embossing folder before embossing some purple coredinations card.  I then die cut my images, punched some circles out of the card scraps, and then played around with my layers until i was happy with the layout.

I hope this Li'l Grumpy has made you smile today!

I Love Suzi Blu

Good Afternoon All, Today I'd like to share a fun card I've made featuring the 'Queen of Glitter' image by Suzi Blu.  I stamped the image three times onto white card stock, coloured each girl to coordinate with my papers, and then cut them out.  I chose papers from Echo Park's Playground Collection, I created a little backdrop for the girls, before sticking them to the card.  The only real embellishment on this card is the bunting which is cut from one of the patterned papers.  I figured there was so much going on with all the bright colours that the card didn't need anything else.  Hope you like it!
Enjoy the rest of your Day

Today's card featured the beautiful 'You Are Loved' stamp from Suzi Blu.  I stamped the image, and coloured it with Prismacolour pencils; I then cut the sentiment from the top and bottom of the image, and trimmed round the frame of the image to give more focus to the image.  I chose a mix of papers to coordinate with my colour scheme, and used my cropadile to add some decorative holes.  I trimmed the sentiment, added some colour, and then arrange it on my card.  Finally I added a few pearls for a bit of bling.

Just My Type

Here's a card I created with the 'Just My Type' set of stamps from Lawn Fawn. These clear stamps are so easy to use, and give a brilliant impression every time you use them; they make it really easy to create a quick card, that looks like you spent ages on it.  I stamped the images with Memento Ink, and coloured with Promarkers.

Wishing You the Sweetest Things

Today I'd like to share with you another card I've made using QKR Stampede's 'Sweet Treats' image.  I really like this image, but i wasn't happy with the way I coloured it last time I used it, so I decided to try something different this time.

I created a patchwork effect background using pieces of paper and card, along with some washi tape.  I then stamped the image using Stazon Ink directly onto this background.  I wanted the image to have a slightly transparent look, so coloured it with pastel pencils, which gave me a nice soft look.

To finish my card I added a border of glitter stickers, a stamped sentiment and some heart gems.

Have a great day

You Are Loved

Today I'd like to share with you a card featuring one of my favourite stamps, You Are Loved by Suzi Blu, available at Make The Day Special.  Such a wonderfully quirky image, and such fun to colour. I used Promarkers to colour this image, and a pointillism technique for my background, starting with my darkest colour I added dots around the image randomly, then using a mid range colour add more dots spreading outwards, finally I used my palest colour to add some dots, I left more space the further out from the image I went to try and create some depth.  I like the finished effect, but you could soften it by going over the whole background with a blender pen.
That's it from me for today
Have a great day all

Fancy a Summer Treat

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Day at the Seaside, with the Sun shining, and lots of Ice-cream!  Guess we'll have to wait a few months for that, but that's what the image on today's card makes me think of.   This cute image is called 'Summer Treat' by QKR Stampede available in the shop Here.  I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and then coloured with Aquamarkers.  I used a scrap of My Mind's Eye paper for my background, and added a tissue paper circle, some strips of washi tape along with some gems for a little sparkle.

A Cut Above with Lawn Fawn.

Today I'd like to share with you a quick card I made using the 'Just My Type' set of stamps by Lawn Fawn.
Lawn Fawn produce high quality photopolymer clear stamps which feature cute images and witty sentiments, they stamp beautifully.

For my card i took a white card blank, and stamped my sentiment and the scissors using memento ink, i also stamped the pin tacks onto a scrap of card.  I wanted to create the impression of the scissors cutting the background, so decided to use strips of washi tape to add pattern to the card.  I coloured the scissors and pin tacks to coordinate with the pink dots on the washi tape, and then cut the pin tacks out and adhered with glue dots.

A quick card, perfect for those occassions when you just want to let someone know your thinking about them, or a thank you card for those Christmas Gifts.

Have a Great Day

Have a ball!

So it's nearly Christmas, so that makes it Party Season too.  So I decided to make a winter inspired party card using one of the Lil' Grumpies by Smeared Ink.  I love Smeared Ink stamps, something a little different to mainstream images, but always fun to work with; real quality unmounted red rubber deep-etched images trim and slap on an acrylic block.

I used a card blank, patterened paper, scalloped border die-cut and chipboard tag all from Issue 37 of Let's Make Cards.  Not a magazine i get that often, but the quality of items with it are always quite good.  I stamped my Lil' Grumpy onto white cardstock with Black Memento Ink, and coloured with Promarkers.  I then cut this out and layered it onto a scallop oval die-cut.  To add a little texture to my card, I added some scraps of sequin waste in the background.   To finish it off I added some purple irridescent foam snowflakes, which i added gems too, along with a few gems scattered over my card.

I hope you like it, Thanks for looking
