Purple and silver

For today's card I decided to go with a purple and silver theme and try to keep it clean and simple.

I stamped the flower from Unity's June store kit - Quiet Essence using the Essential Glue Pad and then used silver foil flakes over this. I then added rub-on letters for the sentiment before adding the embellishments.

Materials used:
American Crafts cardstock, Unity stamp, silver foil, Basic Grey rub-on alphabet, Prima rhinestones.

Moments in Bloom

I decided to make a tag today and I used the gorgeous stamps from the Unity Moments in Bloom kit available at Make The Day Special.  I distressed the edges and then  inked my tag with Victorian Velvet and Bundled Sage Distress Inks, then lightly stamped the grid stamp first.  I then inked the lovely flower stamp with green Memento and a pink Promarker and stamped 3 times, masking as I went.  I used one of the images from the set and a leaf for background, using 4 stamps from the set in all.  The butterflies are made using a Sizzix die.

Materials
Stamps - Unity
Inks - Memento, Distress Inks, Promarker
Other - Sizzix die, adhesive pearls, script stamp on butterflies

A Happy Life heart hanger

I received a wooden heart blank as an RAK recently and have been wanting to alter it and make it into a hanger for a while. I decided the Happy Life sentiment from the Adventures in Happiness kit available from Make the Day special would be perfect to embellish the heart.

I first cut strips of tulle which I sewed a running stitch through to created a ruched frill which I stuck to the heart with my glue gun. I drew around the heart on to ledger paper to make a shape to cover the front and back of the heart and distressed the edges with inks. I then stamped my sentiment before sticking the heart shape to the heart blank. I added a string hanger and embellished with flowers, ribbon, buttons and pearls.
Make sure you check out all the new stamps at Make the Day Special. Unity are now making Cosmo Cricket stamps and Emily has 3 new adorable sets available!
Have a great Friday.

Smile

Here is a quick card using the Unity store kit. I coloured the flowers with my pro markers and added a button to the centre. I left the card quite simple and mounted it onto a subtle backing paper.
Thanks for looking.
