Suzi Blu Tag!
I'd like to show you a Tag today using one of my favourite Suzi Blu stamps :-) I have used 'Creative Girl' available from the lovely Emily here She is a huge stamp, so I didn't have to do an awful lot to make the Tag!
She's stamped onto a spare piece of card and coloured in with my Promarkers. I've gone a bit overboard with the Glossy Accents and the card buckled a bit..............doesn't seem too bad now that it's dry.............just a bit 3D!! She's coloured in with my Promarkers. I've just added a small scroll stamp from my {ippity} set here a metal word saying 'Create' and some fibres. The background is coloured with my Distress Inks and water splattered.
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a good Monday and a lovely week. I'll catch up with you soon. :-)

Mitten Weather Flourishes
I used the lovely Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather Flourishes set by Unity to make this card. I stamped the sentiment on to lightly patterned paper before layering patterned papers on to the card. I also stamped one of the flourishes in to the corner of the card.

Queen of Glitter
I stamped the Queen onto watercolour paper using Vibrant Violet Stazon Ink. I used Sakura Stardust Pens with a Tombow Blender pen to colour the background. The rest of the image is coloured with a mix of Sakura Pens, some matte some glitter, as I wanted to get some contrast on her outfit. I coloured her face and hands with a Promarker (very carefully so as not to smudge the Stazon). I then trimmed my image and to finish the edges off neatly, I used some pink washi tape which i folded over the bookmark edge, and then trimmed the corners.
I hope you like her, she definately sparkles

A Tag and
Morning.
First my little card..........I have had this 'Live,Love, Laugh' Itty Bitty stamp for ages..........and not inked her! I needed a quick card and seeing the scraps on my desk thought I would make a little card out of them :-) I've stamped and embossed her onto textured scalloped cardstock and then mounted her onto a lovely Goldy coloured textured card. She's coloured with my ProMarkers and I've just added adheshive blobs and ribbon to secure the 2 cards together. It took me longer to find the ribbon than do anything else!
Totally inspired by my lovely teamie Kim and her gorgeous Tags I thought I'd have a go myself...........hope you don't mind Kim.
I loved making this :-) I've used my Suzi Blu 'Poet' stamp...love her ♥♥♥ I've stuck pages of a book on the Tag and then run it through my hardly used Ribbler. I then started colouring the background with my Adirondaks and then put it through the Ribbler other way round! Inked again, water splattered and embossed. I've then just added the flowers, twine and a couple of charms and some Glossy Accents.
Thanks for looking. Don't forget to check out Make The Day Special where Emily has some great stamps and fantastic service.
Have a good Monday and I'll see you soon.

Ashley's Blossoms - With Sympathy
I made a card base using a pale green and used my sewing machine to add a border. I then made a tag using patterned paper and painted gesso over it to tone down the pattern. The next step was to stamp the branch and bird stamp using Memento inks and then the sentiment. The butterflies were stamped using Versamgic ink on to cardstock and then cut out before adding to the tag. As a finishing touch the lace and organza ribbon were added.

My Dear!
Yesterday I thought I'd play with some of my latest additions! Namely 'My Dear' by Iron Orchid Designs brought to you by Unity and available from Emily here
I started with a very clean and simple card:
I stamped the image onto Gloss card with Black Staz-On and then used my PaperMania pens (somewhat forgotten now I've found ProMarkers!) to colour in. The background matt started off as White card I stamped and embossed the corner stamp on one of the edges and then coloured it with my Adirondak Inks and splattered water on it. The little Flower was made with some Green Ric Rac Velvet braid just wound round on itself. I just glued it onto some leaves.
I couldn't be me if I didn't get inky!! So I made a Tag with the same stamp set. Love Tags and I think this set lends itself really well to Tags. :-)
I've used the same colours to colour this image in, they come out much different on plain White cardstock don't they? I clear embossed the main image to make it stand out. I used the corner stamp in the bottom left of the Tag..........stamped it crooked, but didn't want to throw away the Tag...........it's hardly noticeable now, so I'm really glad I carried on with it! I've stamped and clear embossed the script stamp to add a little background. Coloured with my Adirondak Inks. I added a couple of Flowers and the little flower made with the Green Ric Rac braid, which I have also added at the bottom, along with some stick on gems.
I really enjoyed making these.............especially the Tag. It's interesting to see how different the same images can look used differently.
I hope you all have a good Monday and a great week. I'll 'see' you soon.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to have a look here at 'Make The Day Special' Emily has some great stamps.........still lots of bargains! and fantastic service.................what more could we ask for?

I stamped the bicycle and the catching dreams stamps on white shrink plastic using black Stazon ink, cut them out and then used my heat gun to shrink them. Prima flower and pearl
Ric-rac, organza ribbon, beaded string, pom-pom trim, ribbon.
Materials used:
My Mind's Eye paper and die-cut

Destination ATC
Firstly, I stamped my sentiment - from All About The Journey straight onto the base of my ATC in black ink. Then, using the floral stamp from the You Deserve Ippity set, stamped into the corner to create a little bit of background.

I've also used the suitcase stamp from the Melody Ross A Girl & Her Adventures set to add a little texture to one of my additional elements. I've been using this stamp quite a lot just to add background to smaller elements - so versatile.
I've finished the ATC off with some paper scraps, stitching and a chipboard butterfly. Cute, no?
Hope you're having a good weekend folks x

A Cut Above with Lawn Fawn.
Lawn Fawn produce high quality photopolymer clear stamps which feature cute images and witty sentiments, they stamp beautifully.
For my card i took a white card blank, and stamped my sentiment and the scissors using memento ink, i also stamped the pin tacks onto a scrap of card. I wanted to create the impression of the scissors cutting the background, so decided to use strips of washi tape to add pattern to the card. I coloured the scissors and pin tacks to coordinate with the pink dots on the washi tape, and then cut the pin tacks out and adhered with glue dots.
A quick card, perfect for those occassions when you just want to let someone know your thinking about them, or a thank you card for those Christmas Gifts.
Have a Great Day

Family Memories
I started by stamping the key background stamp on lightly patterned paper and used this as a background layer on my layout. I layered various papers before stamping the quote over the left hand side and then the sewing border at the bottom. The title was stamped by masking off some of the "Family Friends and memories" stamp. I then stamped the butterfly on to textured cardstock and then added a hint of colour using my long neglected chalks.
Materials used:
Papermania cardstock, MAMBI Scrappy Chic papers
Unity July store kit, Memento brown ink, Versamagic chalk ink
K & Co die-cuts, Deluxe Designs chalk, cotton lace.

You Deserve The Best

To make my gift tag, I've just used the houndstooth corner stamp to add a pop of colour and additional pattern to my cardstock and simply stamped the sentiment onto a chipboard element for extra dimension.
It might be quite simple, but it adds a fantastic finishing touch to your gifts, so scrounge around your craft room for all of those leftovers from your Christmas card making and whip out your Unity or Ippity stamps for a spot of weekend crafting.

Go Confidently Into 2011
For this week's project, I decided to make a New Year's card. I wanted to remind a very special friend that her dreams are within her grasp if she follows her heart, confidently, in the direction of her dreams.

To make the card, I've used a quote stamp from the All About The Journey and, to add a little pattern to a scrap strip of cardstock, I've also used the suitcase stamp from the Melody Ross A Girl & Her Adventures set. It works really well as a 'background' stamp for smaller areas.
Now card making is definitely an area of crafting that I still feel a little out of my depth in, so I'm resolving to make 2011 the year I master my card making!
Have you got any crafting or stamping resolutions this year? We'd love to hear them.
