Hi Everyone
This is my first blog post for Make The Day Special and i'm very excited to be joining some fabulous ladies on the Design Team.
How cute is this stamp? It's from the Unity You're a Doll set which includes 10 gorgeous stamps.
I used Copics to colour in the picture and didn't want to make it too garish so used softer colours that complimented the paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
Materials:
Stamps: Unity You're a Doll
Paper/Card: Bazzill and Cosmo Cricket Early Bird - Farmers Market
Ink: Adirondack Black and Copic Ciaos
Flowers: Fancy Pants by Prima
Other: Unknown ribbon, brads, paper trimmer

First Guest DT Card!
Hi everyone,
I was delighted to be chosen by Emily to be on her special Guest DT and I am looking forward to working with some talented ladies! Here is my first card. I used 2 images from a Unity Store kit 'Adventures in Happiness' March 2010 available from Make The Day Special. The bp is by Flavia, Lemons and Lilacs, which seemed appropriate to use! The images are coloured with Copics and embellished with punched flowers and glittery gems.

Friends With Flair Blog Hop
Hi everyone
I have been playing with the February Store kit again! Well I love it so why not? I just think the stamps in this particular kit are so versatile.
First up is a set of three cards. A neutral colour scheme and simple layout, I am going through a bit of a phase of this type of card.

And second we have the fab table stamp and sentiment. I think this is such a great image, a bit different but so useful.

Info:
Stamps Unity Store KOTM - Feb
Paper - K&Co
Thanks for visiting, do go to the Unity blog to see all the other blogs taking part and UK Unity fans keep an eye out for info on delivery of the April Kit.
Also thanks to all those who applied to be part of the Make the Day Special DT, a choice wil be made over the weekend... so many amazing crafters applied it will be a tough one!

Free Postage and DT Call
Hi all
As its a bank holiday and we are all full of chocolate I am offering free p&p on all UK orders today, what better excuse to get some new stamps, lol.
Make the Day Special is looking to add to its small DT. Kim is doing a great job and is not going anywhere (I hope) but with all the new stamps I think we need another set of inky mits to help showcase them all. I am looking for someone who is an active blogger and member of online craft communities but previous DT experience is not needed. Would be looking for a minimum of 3 month commitment but am happy to work out details when an individual has been found. email me if you are interested at emily(at)makethedayspecial.co.uk with some links to your work :)
I hope everyone is having a good Easter break, thanks for popping in

Unity Adventures In Happiness Store Kit
Hi all, hope you are having a good Bank holiday Friday. I've been playing with the March Unity Store kit - Adventures In Happiness that you can get over at Make The Day Special.

I've coloured the yummy cupcakes with pencils and used the texture of the paper to give then a lovely mottled look.

Whilst I am here I thought I would tempt you all with a picture of the actual rubber rather than the usual image picture I show you!
This is a huge kit! The whole thing is 8.5 x 11 inches (21 x 27cm) and to give you an idea the Light House stamp on the top right measures approximately 3.25 x 1.25 inches (8 x 3.5 cm). The kit comes ready backed with an sponge mount and precut so that all you have to do is pop the stamps out and use them with an acrylic block. Ready to go!

Have a lovely day.
Kim
