Birthday wishes

Hello well it seems that autumn is well and truly here and so are the dark damp mornings so Ive made this card to brighten things up a little. I have used the unity July store kit available from Emily at make the day special.
Ive used lots of scraps of basic grey papers and have machine stitched them before layering them up. I stamped the image in black momento and highlighted the birthday with glossy accents. To finish i added some blooms and bling.
Thanks for looking.

Bring on the cupcakes!

Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing another experimental project with you and have made a bag using My Cute Stamp's Little Cupcake image:
This sweet little set costs only £2.70 - a bargain!

I 'paper-pieced' (with material) the cupcake and stitched it to the bag. I added buttons and ribbon and the bag is ready to go!

Have a good Monday,

Floral Friends

I  keep going back to these lovely stamps, Floral Friends by Unity, available here,  and I used them for this  card to show today.  The bp is by the English Paper Co.  I stamped the image, coloured with Copics and added an adhesive sparkly gem to the centre of the flower.  I doodled round the edges and used a Kanban stamp for the greeting.  Simple, but quite pretty!

Congratulations

Hello, here's a one layer card today using "Ashley's blossoms" from my cute stamp. I have used distress inks to stamp most of the images and and to paint the flowers. To paint using distress ink i rub the ink pad on a sheet of greaseproof paper then spray with water its so easy to do and you can get really good effects. I have also used black momento for the sentiment and birdcage, and red for the birds.
Thanks for looking.

You are loved

Today I'm sharing something a bit different for me. I was totally inspired by fellow Make the Day Special DT mate Kim Dellow on Thursday, and her gorgeous page from her art journal, so I thought I'd have a little play around with paint myself this weekend. The beautiful range of stamps from Suzi Blu available in the MTDS shop make perfect stamps for experimenting with.

I've used acrylic paints and then paper pieced the image to create this bookmark.

Have a good Monday,

One Precious Life

Well, it's been one of "those" weeks and the time has flown so much that I haven't had time to make a new card to show you today so I'll show a layout I completed a couple of days ago using stamps from the fabulous Unity kit - One Precious Life designed by Melody Ross.

I used some adhesive cork sheet as the background for this layout and some stamps were stamped directly on to it using Memento ink which worked beautifully (although I did a test piece before starting!). The title was stamped on to a printed journalling card.

Materials used:
Bazzill cardstock, adhesive cork sheet, Fancy Pants journalling card
brown Memento ink
Prima flowers and centres, vintage glass and plastic buttons, Making Memories gingham ribbon, cotton lace, brads

I love the way this layout turned out and am going to make a concerted effort to use my stamps more when scrapping now!!

Happy Fall

Another tag from me again, I do like making tags and this Harvest of Memories kit from Unity available here is lovely and very appropriate at the moment!

I inked the tag with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and stamped some of the leaf stamps over the background (doesn't show up too well but they are there!), then added one of the main leaves and words.  I punched some leaves using Basic Grey paper, and doodled stitches all round the edges, adding some metallic nailheads to finish.

Materials
Stamps - Unity
Inks - Distress Inks, Adirondack, Memento
Other - leaf punch, Basic Grey paper, metallic nailheads

Art Journaling With Unity And Ippity

Hey Guys, I've been playing with paint again and I thought I would ink up some of my Unity and Ippity stamps as well. Here is the result! It is a page from my Art Journal but I think I will probably leave it as it is now and not add any actual journaling :)

So do you recognise all the stamps I've used? Well there is the Stars and moons from the Ippity Moon Beams and Heart Strings kit, the sentiment from the Ippity What Matters Most kit and the grass is from the Unity Insightful Meadows kit. Yum!

Thanks for popping by and viewing my playing!

How DeLIGHTful...

I have two cards to show you today using the gorgeous 'How Delightful' set from Lawn Fawn:

In my ever growing collection of finished cards, I don't have many masculine examples, so I set myself the challenge to create one. I thought this might be used as an anniversary card.

And because making a card with NO ribbon, bows or flowers didn't quite fulfil my need for prettiness, I made this one too!

Have a happy Monday,

Insightful Meadows

I've been playing with the gorgeous Unity set Insightful Meadows by Donna Downey and made a couple of cards. As I couldn't decide which to show I'll just post both LOL!

For both cards I used white card which I covered with distress ink before randomly stamping again with the distress inks.

For this card I layered the stamped card on jade paper and then mounted it on Kraft card before adding organza ribbon and a vintage glass button as embellishments.

For this card I added one of the sentiments from the same stamp set and then layered the stamped card on yellow paper before mounting it on a card with inked edges. I then added a button and bow as an embellishment and pierced a pattern down the side.

Materials used:
Unity Insightful Meadows, Ranger Distress inks
Papermania papers
vintage buttons, ribbons and twine.

A little Sneak Peek!

Hi guys, for all you {Ippity} fans have you seen the Stamping Contrasts article in the October 2010 issue of Craft Stamper?

Myself and three other designers got to play with the Fishy Philosophy {Ippity} stamps and the result is lots of different ideas for these fun stamps.

I thought I would give you a sneak peek at the projects I made for the article. Don't be put off by the miss-crediting of the first two makes in the article, they are mine honest - LOL!

Have a fun day!
