Painting........
I thought I'd try something a little different this week...I love to get mileage out of my stamps (because I have sooo many!!) I thought I'd try a little 'paint fusion' to see if it worked with some of my favourite stamps...
Gerbera Daisies by Flourishes, available from the lovely Emily here
I have crackled the background and inked over it and then stamped the Daisies and painted them...first with Green and then White. The centres are 'stippled' with Yellow paint and then Brown...but the best bit........I painted the strings and Green leafy things freehand....(as you can probably tell!!) I just inked around the edges and stamped part of the sentiment stamp. I really like how this looks aged.........with even a few extra creases where I've flattened the Mountboard!
This piece is 4"x4" and is destined for a Fatbook swap that I am in.......
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a lovely Monday and I'll catch up with you again soon.......

The Last Of May's Flowers...
For this card, I stamped one of the images several times onto some smooth cardstock and then coloured using a variety of pinks, blushes and springy greens. To give the images dimension, I cut out elements from each of my stamped images and layered them using some small foam dots. I also added in just a couple of extra little leaves, which I curled with my finger nails to lift them a little.
Not bad for a practice piece, eh?
And, just while I'm here, any Lawn Fawn lovers might be interested to know that all of Lawn Fawn's Summer Releases are now available at Make The Day Special. Yeah Baby!

So This Is........
Morning! Today I have a card to share with you with stamps that the lovely Emily has just sent me...love them.
I seem to be in a 'Purple' phase at the moment.....the beautiful background card was on my desk after I'd been making, so set the tone for this one!
I have used 'Garden Wall Frame' from Layers of Color.........this fits one of the new Nestie shapes I have just got too.....I think it took me longer to get the image onto the Nestie shape than to do the rest of the card!! It was a bit easier after I'd stamped and embossed the image and than lightly stuck the nestie to the card before cutting.........trust me this is the easiest way!! I have coloured it with ProMarkers and Glossy Accented the Bird. The sentiment is by {ippity} 'So This Is Love' I've just added a paper flower and some beautiful ribbon (which I think was round a box of choccies!! I never throw anything away!!)
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a wonderful Monday.... I'll see you soon.

Destination gateway
I stamped the gates on to an alcohol inked background before cutting them out. I added them to the card along with some sequin waste and flowers.
The sentiment was then stamped straight on to the card using black Versafine ink which is one of my favourites for stamping detailed images and sentiments.

Stamps are so versatile!!!
I am going to share this project with you though as "we" used so many stamps on it LOL!! We made it by joining 4 sheets of plain white 12" x 12" cardstock together and then used chalks to make a coloured background before drawing on the trees and colouring them.
The leaves were all stamped using the leafy stamp from Unity's Naturally You kit available here and another leaf stamp.
We stamped the fungi from Unity's Naturally You kit straight on to the poster and coloured them with Marvy markers. The snail from the same kit was stamped on to shrink plastic and coloured with chalks before heating.
We also used the bracken stamp from Unity's Moments in Bloom kit available here to stamp in clumps at the base of the trees and Unity's Insightful Meadows set to stamp in the left foreground.

You're A Star!!!
Using the beautiful trellis type background stamp from Unity's Quiet Essence, I covered the bottom half of the card. I then added a little bit of ribbon in a light blue as a bit of an accent. Above the ribbon I partially used one of the sentiments from the Say Cheese Too set from Lawn Fawn - it actually says 'You're A Star' but since my card is teeny, I masked it off a little.
Then I stamped the star from Unity's Learning {Year By Year} onto some light blue cardstock, cut it out and adhered to the card with a little pop dot for dimension. Don't you just love the numbers and text on the star? Gorgeous!
To finish off the card, I popped on some sparkles....we all need a little bit of sparkle every now and then!
Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend x

All About The Boy!
Today I have a couple of very quick and easy ideas using one of my newer Suzi Blu stamps 'And Then There Was A Boy' available in the UK from the lovely Emily here
I do so much reading and I tend to use whatever piece of paper or ticket is closest to hand as a bookmark! I decided to make myself one in Black and White with just a little Orange thrown in! Well there had to be Orange on it somewhere, didn't there??
Really, really quick and easy! Coloured in with ProMarkers. The Black card is textured and I just 'run' it through my ribbler and then added some fibres at the top.....
And a really quick and easy card......
with some some stick on gems and more fibre round the side.
Do check out 'Make The Day Special' Emily has some great new stock in, good prices and excellent delivery.....what more could we crafty people want!
I hope you have a good day, thank you for looking... I will be back soon, I feel the need to get inky and messy again, as my last few makes have been quite 'clean' for me!!
See you soon.

Another canvas.....
I placed a few pieces of paper over the canvas and then covered it with a green organza using Mod Podge and left it to dry. I then randomly stamped the Dots For Sure and the flourish stamp from the Now and Always set.
The next step was to use the stamp from Insightful Meadows and add distress embossing powder then emboss. I then added the die-cut and embellishments:
Materials used:
Canvas, old book page, Prima papers, Mod Podge
Unity and {ippity} stamps, sepia Versafine ink, distress ink and embossing powder
organza, pompom trim, K&Co die-cut, Pink Paislee Artisan flourish, Viva Precious Metal paint.
Before I go.......have you checked out the Make The Day Special shop recently?
Emily has been busy adding some new stuff:
Layers of Color sets and single stamps
Flourishes
Lawn Fawn
My Cute Stamp
As always, thanks for visiting!!

Tagging You...
I cut the based cardstock down to ATC size, popped a hole in the top and rounded the corners. Then I sprayed it liberally with some ink. I love the brightness of it against the contrasting black stamp ink.
I added some black lace and it was ready!

Happy and sad
And here is the sad card.
I made this for a very close friend and will be giving it to her today.
I used the unity kit
with sympathy.
I wanted this card to be special but not to fussy.
This stamp does have a butterfly which i didn't ink as my friend has a phobia of them.
I have used lots of embossing and some of my favourite bakers twine.
The colours are a bit bright but chose it as its my friends favourite colour.

Love You!
So, this is just a quick post from me to show you how a simple stamp from Sophie's Sentiments finishes off a card perfectly. The writing script used in this set is just wonderful - it seems to work well for every type of card.
Have a lovely summer evening folks x
