Hi.... Jenny here popping by to share a card with you today :0)
I bet quite a few of you have a stamp set that you bought but haven't used much
for whatever reason.... sound familiar??
I came accross a Lawn Fawn set called Sew Lovely this week in my collection
which hasn't seen much ink so I challenged myself to use one of the
smaller images from it to make a card....
The button from this set is rather cute because of the angle it's drawn from but also a bit tricky
to use, I think, for that very reason so I tried stamping it in Ladybug Memento
ink and colouring with red Prisma colour pencils for a realistic 3D look on a one layer card.
I'm hoping you can see the heart shape they are arranged in and to compliment the dimension
I shadow stamped the sentiment too with grey and black ink.
I've not tried either of these techniques before but I do love the
lack of black edges to the buttons.
...so why not have a look at your stamps and try a new technique with a un-loved set
to give them a new lease of life :0)
Thanks for stopping by
Jenny x

I had to do a double take - those buttons looked so realistic I thought they were real! I have a lot of stamp sets that I haven't used as much as I thought I would, I'm definitely going to go and dig some of them out and get creative this afternoon.
Oh Jenny this is fabulous. Great technique and so much work but result is so worth it. Very clever. :)
