Hi Everyone
Its Emily here with my first DT post so be gentle with me.
For my card today I have used the Unity set Happy Pinwheels and Avert Elle set To the point teamed up with some lovely bright papers from the Lawn Fawn Bright Side Collection pack.
This card is going to be for one of the numerous parties my six year old daughter has got coming up in the next few weeks.
I love this stamp from the Avery Elle set so decided to use it three times :)
A closer view of the paper pieced pinwheels.
Thanks for visiting today

More Mother's Day!!!
Hi there...
I needed to make a card for one of my friends at work for Mother's Day.....
Here is what I came up with....
I turned to my Flourish stamps again.....
This time I have used 'Orchids' available here
Love these stamps :-)
Coloured with ProMarkers. I embossed the white card with one of my cuttlebug embossing folders and just added punched flowers. The matt has also been embossed and sanded back.
The papers are from my never ending Brenda Pinnock pad!!!!
Thanks for looking and I'll catch up with you soon....

Belindas borders
Hello.
I have been having a play with the lawn fawn set Belinda's borders.
I wanted to show that you don't have to use them just as a border.
This first card i simply shaped the stamp to make a rainbow.
I used distress inks for all of the colours.
This is quite simple to do.
Although as you get to the smaller parts its harder to shape the stamp without it trying to pop up lol.
I used two lawn fawn alphabet stamp sets you can see them here.
For this card used the stamp in layers of similar colours going from dark to light..
Then added one of the butterflies from Flutterby.
I coloured the butterfly with distress inks in matching colours.
The sentiment is from Happy everything.
Thanks for looking.

Happy 4 U
Good morning! It’s Ruby here.
What’s your weather like? It’s been foggy this morning but the sun is starting to break through and it’s looking like a really lovely day ahead of us. I love it when the sun shines, it makes such a difference to how we feel.

I went for a bit more elegant this week. I’ve been doing a lot of cute lately so thought I’d go floral for a change.
Using this fab set ‘Framed Fonts’ from Avery Elle I just stamped the frame and wording onto some patterned paper and cut around it to make a label that I pop dotted. I added some little banner detail to the bottom left and a tiny flower to finish.

These would be great cards to make up with all of the different sentiments and have as a backup. It’s a really useful little set. I think these cards would even make a nice little gift card pack to give to someone so that they always have a card on hand.
Note to self: Must add that to my to do list for myself, I never seem to have cards for me to give at the last minute!
Hope you have a lovely sunny day wherever you are too. If you're a Mummy I hope you've got some lovely stamps on that present wish list of yours!! If not, treat yourself, you deserve it! We do a lot for our bubbas and deserve to be kind to ourselves every now and then :)
Have fun!

Strut your funky stuff!
Hello!
It feels like it has been forever since I posted a blog! So in celebration,I have stepped way out of my comfort zone and drawn huge inspiration from the other girls in the Design Team and have tried to keep this card really simple and clean...
I used the gorgeously retro Unity Melody Ross set 'one of a kind'-I've had this in my collection for a while now and have been itching to use the plain-Jane girls :-) I left the girls very simple, with no depth(well, just a touch in their hair) I backed the image with some gorgeous Lawn Fawn petite pack paper and some of their teal twine with a vintage orange flower button from my stash. Very unusual for me-I actually cut up some paper! Shock horror! I am a massive paper hoarder-a real fire hazard. I collect it then stash it away, occasionally stroking it,but NEVER cutting into it,lol. Aaaaand I didn't distress or ink any edges! I'm feeling very proud of the
plain white I managed not to stain ;-)
So,it is goodbye from me for this week, hope you like the card and the new look website ;-)

A Blue Bird
Good Morning, Jenny here :0)
First of all I hope you've had chance to check out the new look store and treated yourself
to some 'much needed' stamps to celebrate it's re-opening *wink*
Onto my card today and it's a little different from my usual
Paper Smooches/Lawn Fawn frolics .....
I've used a Wplus9 stamp set called Love Birds and the matching dies for a clean and simple
card. I'm slowly getting used the white border the dies give you round the stamped image....
when using them on the same colour card it actually looks quite pretty :0)
The texture on the raised panel comes from running the card through my Bigshot
against a piece of hessian, love the subtle pattern.
I have a tip that I have picked up from my travels round blogland to share
with you for using stamps and dies together, forgive me if you
do this already, I thought I'd share it for those who don't.
I have started to stamp the image first and then die cut a
template on thick paper....
Place the template over the stamped image, this allows you to centralise the image
in the die cut space before sliding the die into place.... if the paper is thick
enough you will fill it fit in the hole like a puzzle piece.....
Use some washi tape to hold it all together whilst you pass it through
your die-cutting machine, template still in place... this is why the paper need to
be thick enough for the die to find the space but not too
thick to stop the die cutting the image.
You should, if it hasn't moved , end up with a perfectly stamped die-cut :0)
The clear stamps are supposed to make it easier to do it the other way around
but I still find it tricky to line them up so this technique was
a "I can't believe I didn't think of it" moment for me !!
Thanks for stopping by today hope you have some crafting time this weekend :0)
