One of the Avery Elle sets I got hold of in the last release was Surf's Up and this weekend I had a chance to get it inky :0) I love the camper van image especially, I'd love to own a real one although with two of us in the family 6' and over it would be quite interesting seeing us use it!!!
To make the VW's a bit different I used the three sketchy scenery elements in the set to add some decoration to their paintwork..... I love how they overlap the windows :0)
To get this effect I simply stamped the camper image onto masking paper (scrap paper would do the job as well) then cut out the section of the image I wanted to stamp through...
...then hold it or stick it over your stamped image before adding the next layer of stamps.... you can see here how I used it to stamp the sun twice on this VW...
I shaded the campers after all the stamping with Coloursoft pencils, using two shades to give some dimension, they have coloured nicely over the ink allowing it to still show through :0)
