I have a card to share with you today using a stamp from one of my favourite sets - Unity's Quote Bundle Pack.
I made a card base using watercolour paper (I love the thickness of this). I cut a Nestabilities label from card and used distress ink to colour it before stamping the quote. I then paper pieced the 2 tiny butterflies on the stamp. The large butterfly is actually a Prima stamp (from my "small" collection LOL!).
Materials used:
watercolour paper, Prima Madeline papers
Unity stamp (as above), brown Memento ink, distress ink
Prima butterfly stamp, ribbon, Kaisercraft rhinestone
Thanks for visiting!!

Loving My Lawn Fawn's
As you have all probably realised by now - I love my Lawn Fawn! This bright and beautiful card uses three of Lawn Fawn's most popular stamp sets - Jessie's ABCs, Blissful Botanicals and Bon Voyage.
Jessie's ABCs is a super set full of letters - upper and lower case - along with numbers and punctuation. It even includes multiples of some letters, making longer words and phrases easy and quick to stamp. I can now stamp my own sentiments whenever I like - versatile and easy on the pocket!
So, to use the sentiment I'd stamped, I then created a card to showcase it a little. The background is created using one of the stamps from BLissful Botanicals - stamped in the 'sing along' colours of the rainbow - and the clouds are from Bon Voyage.
Can you see why I love my Lawn Fawn?

Hello Waterfall Card!
I've been learning new tricks from a crafty pal and have been practising my newly learned waterfall card technique:
Stamps: My Cute Stamp 'Konnichiwa' set
Other materials: promarkers, brads, eyelet, ribbon
If you've not tried a waterfall card, I can thoroughly recommend it! It's lots of fun to create and looks great when finished.
Have a great Friday!

teachers cards
Hello.
With a little help from Lawn fawn here are the cards i made for my kids to give to their teachers.
A very simple card using school house backdrops and quinns abc.
Finished with a badge...can you believe i do not own a apple stamp?
I used some of my own alpha stamps too.
And I'm not sure that this one worked out ...ooops!
I used quinns abc for this and sophies sentiments.
Maybe i will try this again but with better placement of the letters.
All lawn fawn are available from make the day special.
Thanks for looking.

For You
Got another Tag for you today after She's amazing and beautiful tag yesterday. This one uses a number of different stamps available from Make The Day Special or Ippity Inspiration.
Can you guess which ones?
Did you guess correctly? Well the heart is from the Unity Wishes and Kisses kit, the key is from the My Cute Stamp Key Set and the sentiment comes from the Ippity Totally Happy set.
Happy stamping!

A Mother's Love!
Hello and a happy Monday to you!
Gosh Monday's come around quickly! I have a Tag to share with you today.....
Here is how it started out..
Gosh Monday's come around quickly! I have a Tag to share with you today.....
Here is how it started out..
And with the aid of some fantastic stamps and ink....here is how it turned out...
I used the Unity store kit 'A Mother's Love' available from the lovely Emily here
I used the background stamp all over the background and stamped (with my non to clean VersaMark!) and clear embossed it. I then blended a couple of colours of Distress Ink over it. The message was stamped and clear embossed with the same DIs onto a seperate piece of card and mounted on 3D foam. The Butterfly is coloured with DIs onot shrink plastic.
To make the Flowers I just did the same with another Tag only using darker colours and spraying with a mixture of Distress Re-Inkers and Perfect Pearls. I used White embossing instead of clear too.. I then just cut them with a small circle punch and scrunched them up...
Thanks for looking. I hope you have a good day and I'll see you soon...

Pretty Pennants
Morning! I have a couple of cute cards to share with you today.
The base of the cards is quite simple - a little patchwork of co-ordinating papers and a bit of stitchery. To create the pennant greetings, I stamped the ticket image from Admit One and used Jessie's ABCs to add the lettering.
I then 'strung' them onto some embroidery thread (by sticking them with double-sided tape) along with some colour co-ordinating beads. And voila!
I've never used the tickets as pennants before, but I feel a lot of cards on this theme coming on, it's hard to stop after just one. Here's the proof!
I think I've turned into a card-making, pennant monster!

All about the journey
Something a bit different from me today.
I have had the all about the journey set for a while now and have only just got it inked up.
I think my problem was that i just don't travel so no matter how much i love the images i just didn't know how to use them.
So i started of by stamping onto an envelope.
I kept it very simple.
I used two images from the unity kit and sneaked in a little lawn fawn for the lines.
The red is just from a stampin up ink pad that i painted on.
I then decided to make a card to go with it.
Again very simple but with the lovely sentiment that was in the set.
As always you can get all the stamps used from make the day special.
Thanks for looking.

Insightful Meadows!
Hi there, from a very wet, rainy, cold Northwest!
Today I have a Tag to show you, really quick and easy!
I started with a White tag base and used, what I think was my first purchase from the lovely Emily.....'Insightful Meadows' available here still love this set!
The Flowers are stamped with Distress Stains to get a sort of water coloured effect.....For the extra stalks I just dipped a small piece of card into the Distress Stain and 'stamped' it onto the Tag! The message is clear embossed and the little flower is just a few punched circles which I sprayed with Distress Ink Re-Inkers mixed with Perfect Pearls....the twirly bits are just thin pieces of wire wrapped round my pokey tool..I coloured the fibres with Distress Stain too....
Short and sweet from me today.....I hope you have a good Monday...
I'll see you very soon.

3 simply adorable kids.... (& a reminder)
Today I have a layout to share with you using various Unity stamps. I used thick watercolour paper as a base and used Neocolor II watercolour crayons to create the coloured background.
I used a floral stamp from Unity's "Quiet Essence" set (here) to stamp on more watercolour paper and then used watercolour pencils to colour it before cutting it out and layering with foam pads.
The "it's all worth it" stamp is from the Unity set "One Precious Life" (here).
The fern stamp is from the Unity set "Moments in Bloom" (here).
The "blessings" stamp is from the Unity set "The Right Words" (here).
The faux stitching is from the Unity set "Key to Joy" (here)
The "simply adorable" and butterfly are from old Unity sets.
Materials used:
watercolour paper, Caran D'Ache Neocolor II crayons and watercolour pencils, black fineliner
black Stazon ink, black Versafine ink, Unity stamps (as above)
American Crafts Thickers
DCWV rub-on.
Thanks for visiting!!

Sweet Little Notes
After finishing up a craft project, I often find myself with small leftovers and there is nothing more pleasing than finding a use for them! Yesterday, I ended up with a long piece of stripy kraft cardstock. I decided to cut it down into smaller pieces and create some sweet little notes using the teeny tiny stamps from Sophie's Sentiments and Say Cheese Too.
It can be all too easy to overlook some of the smaller stamps in these sets, but I think they're really versatile - and they're fun too! I also added a couple of small sentiments to the mix, by only inking up part of the larger phrases. You can see that with just a few stamps, some black ink and a little bit of time - five minutes to be exact - I ended up with something I can use in other craft projects, instead of something to add to the scrap pile.I'm thinking gift tags, tiny journalling spots, or cute card toppers - lots of options. So, make the most of your Make The Day Special stamps by constantly looking for new ways to use them!
And, don't forget that some of the giveaways we featured as part of last week's Get 'Em While You Can Blog Hop are still open - including my own - so now's your chance to make some last minute entries.

DIY Wedding Organiser
I've been looking for a wedding organiser for a few weeks and was pretty disappointed on what was on offer in the shops. I don't know WHY it took me so long to remember that I am crafter...and am perfectly capable of designing my own! Duh. So here's some little peeks into my new wedding organiser....
Stamps: Ippity 'Because of You' (bird stamp) and The Cat's Pyjamas 'Ewe Complete Me' (sentiment)
Unity Store Kit: The Right Words
Unity Store Kit: Wishes & Kisses
Unity Store Kit: Wishes & Kisses
I bought a plain workbook from Paperchase which has loads of fab plastic wallets and card pockets included in the notebook. I used red and white acrylic paint to create the background on the front cover, added ribbon, vellum and the stamped image & sentiment. I then added some tags and used the teeny hearts from the 'Ewe Complete Me' set to embellish (glossy accents gave them a nice finish).
I have a feeling this is a work in progress and I'll spend lots more time adding to my new organiser!
Have a great weekend,

More Quiet Essence!
Good morning!
Today I have a couple of Tags to show you.....
I love playing with backgrounds and also trying to get as much 'mileage' as I can out of my stamps!
I have used one of my favourite Unity Store Kits 'Quiet Essence' available from the lovely Emily here

It's ages since I used my Brayer so I thought I'd have a little 'inky' play! Here is what I came up with.....
This the first one that I made! A little bit PINK, but also with some touches of my favourite Orange!
I used 'Big an' Juicy' pads for my brayering.....something else I have had for ages and not played very much with!!
I scrunched a piece of copy paper and then smoothed it out and ran the inky brayer across it, so that the the ink on the brayer took the crease of the paper onto the ink and then I rolled! I think it's more noticeable on the 2nd tag...
I used the little bacground stamp to add a bit more texture....using the same ink pad.
Isn't that sentiment fantastic? Stamped, clear embossed and highlighted with Glossy Accents. The Flower is coloured with ProMarkers and also Glossy Accented!
The little Bird is off the 'Life Becoming' kit also available here stamped onto shrink plastic...love him!
All that was left for me to do was a little doodling round the edge and add a little ribbon...
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a good Monday and I'll see you soon...
Oh and don't forget, our 'Get 'Em While You Can' Blog Hop is open until Saturday and me and my teamies have some great giveaways!

A birthday tag
Today I have a birthday tag to share with you using a sentiment stamp from Unity's "The Right Words" available from the shop here.
I covered a tag using papers by SEI and cut out the streamer and party hat from patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped using Memento ink on to white card and then coloured with Promarkers. After colouring I decided that the white background was too bright so used an ivory marker to cover it.
Materials used:
SEI papers
Unity stamp (as above), brown Memento ink, Promarkers
My Mind's Eye buttons
pompom trim and organza ribbon.
Don't forget that our "Get em while you can" blog hop is still ongoing. Have a look here!

Mix & Match Your Stamp Sets
Today's offering uses one of the stamps from Blissful Botanicals - part of Lawn Fawn's 2011 Summer Release - as a background stamp. It adds a little bit of colour and interest! I've also added a beautiful floral element and quote from Unity's Quiet Essence.
They look much better together than I originally thought they might. It's all to do with the colour combinations, I think. So, don't forget to mix and match your stamp sets for a slightly different look!

Inspire Imagine Create
Morning All!
There's been some very inspiring tags around here of late, so I thought I'd join in the fun. I have taken one itty bitty stamp 'Inspire Imagine Create' and some acrylic paint, old manuscript paper and ink sprays to create these three tags:
I stamped each word, heat embossed and cut out before adding to each tag.
Have a great Friday.
