Pencils on Kraft

Hello, it's Jo again but this time I thought I'd try something different from my usual and go for a Clean and Simple (CAS) card.

I stamped the flowers from Unity's Quiet Essence kit on to kraft cardstock using brown Memento ink and then coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment from Unity's "A Mother's Love" kit was then stamped, again using the Memento ink.

Thanks for visiting

Yes, it's nearly that time again....Mother's Day (here in the UK) is next weekend so I've been busy making the first of 2 cards that I need...this one being for my lovely mother-in-law who loves all things butterflies.

I used the Unity store kit "A Mother's Love" available in the shop here. The frame stamp was inked using Faber Castell big brush pens toa llow the patterned paper to show through the ink and then the sentiment was stamped using Versafine black ink:

Materials used:
Kraft cardstock, MME papers
Unity stamps (as above), Faber Castell brush pens, Versafine black ink
Prima flower
lace, vintage button

Now for some great news......Emily and baby Ivy are now back home and doing well but please remember that orders may still take longer than usual to arrive.

With Sympathy and Love....

Hi there!
Today I have one of my large Tags to show you.....
I have used a Big 'N' Juicy pad to brayer the background. I then used some sprays through a little piece of stitching plastic to create the little square texture. I have used the Unity store kit 'With Sympathy' available as always from Emily here. I have also used the background stamp from another Unity store kit.... 'A Mother's Love' again available from Emily here  I have used it at the top of the tag and then sprayed over. The little flowers are just cut from another Tag, where I have inked the background stamp all over and clear embossed it and coloured with my Distress Inks and then sprayed a gold spray over the top.
Thanks for looking, I will, hopefully be back soon.

A Mother's Love!

Hello and a happy Monday to you!
Gosh Monday's come around quickly! I have a Tag to share with you today.....
Here is how it started out..
And with the aid of some fantastic stamps and ink....here is how it turned out...
I used the Unity store kit 'A Mother's Love' available from the lovely Emily here
I used the background stamp all over the background and stamped (with my non to clean VersaMark!) and clear embossed it. I then blended a couple of colours of Distress Ink over it. The message was stamped and clear embossed with the same DIs onto a seperate piece of card and mounted on 3D foam. The Butterfly is coloured with DIs onot shrink plastic.
To make the Flowers I just did the same with another Tag only using darker colours and spraying with a mixture of Distress Re-Inkers and Perfect Pearls. I used White embossing instead of clear too.. I then just cut them with a small circle punch and scrunched them up...
Thanks for looking. I hope you have a good day and I'll see you soon...

Today I have a quick and simple tag to show you, using the Unity kit A Mother's Love, just in time for Mother's Day next Sunday.

I started by cutting a tag from scrap cardstock and then covering it with the patterned paper before sewing around the edge. I also added some beaded drop trim and a decorative brad. I then stamped the butterfly on to a lightly patterned paper and cut it out and adhered to the tag and added a vintage glass buton to the centre

I stamped  the sentiment and cut it out and added the ribbons.

Materials used:
scrap cardstock, Prima Madeline papers
Unity stamps (as above), Versafine sepia ink
beaded trim, vintage glass button, brad, organza ribbons

I also stamped a few extra flowerrs which I cut out and attached with foam pads to give some added dimension.

I Love You Mum

Another card from me using the kit - "A Mother's Love" which is half of the November Store kit.

I stamped and embossed the "frame" stamp on to the pink paper before adding the sentiment. As this is an American stamp it originally said "i love you mom" but with a little masking I managed to stamp "i love you mum".

The butterfly stamp from the set was stamped using black Stazon ink on to shrink plastic and then coloured with chalk before shrinking.

Materials used:
Papermill cardstock, Basic Grey Curio patterned papers, Pink Paislee Sweetness paper
Unity stamps (as above), Versamark ink, black embossing powder, shrink plastic, black Stazon ink, Deluxe Designs ink
Crafty Notions Rainbow Drops, black cotton lace.
