Back To Smell The Roses!

There is something quintessentially English about roses- and I'm a sucker for any types. The large frilly scented blooms are my favourite. On the stamp scene, the Fresh Cut Florals were everywhere for a while- we all went mad over them.
I wanted to ink them again & do something a little more pared back and try and inject a few stronger lines into my card too. The stripes of colour seemed just right

This set is back in stock & Make The Day Special has restocked plenty of these so if you missed out on them first time around, you can grab this set which is perfect for so many of your crafty projects.

If you don't fancy fussy-cutting.. we've these fab dies to help you cut them out instantly!
Well, it's time to go! Hope you get chance to linger near some flowers & take a moment to enjoy nature in all its glory (& then run home and stamp a load of your own blooms !)

Throwback Thursday

Hello
Happy Throwback Thursday!

Todays card is made using what can only be described as a stamp phenomenon-the set that drove everyone into a complete frenzy- WPlus9's Fresh Cut Florals. Holy moly,we all went nuts for this set! If you do not have it,grab one now to have the original set that sparked a ton of 'copy' stamps.
Ok,so,I have used it on a 60 years young card for my awesome Godmother.

No fusty musty florals on THIS card! No way.

There are some great accent pieces in this set-I stamped and cut until I had a big pile next to me,then just tried them out in various places over the card until they looked right.

I hope you like it as much as she did ;-)

Happy shopping!

Mostly Fresh Cut Florals!

Hi! My turn again and I've had great fun this week making a 3D Pop-Up Box Card.  I think I might have got just a little bit carried away with gorgeous stamp sets and dies from WPlus9, with a little Lawn Fawn and Paper Smooches thrown in for good measure!

Here it is.. the full 3D effect isn't easy in a picture (well not with my photographic skills anyway!!)

I had so much fun making this!  Here are the stamp sets and dies I've used:

  • WPlus9 Love Birds... and matching dies
  • WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals and More Fresh Cuts... and matching dies
  • Paper Smooches Clouds (I love these!)
  • Lawn Fawn Daphnes Closet petite paper pack (this is an old set and out of stock...BUT.. there is an order winging its way from the States full of absolutely gorgeous NEW release papers, stamps and dies!!)

You could make the box base any size you like.. I went for 7x7cm.

I think this next picture really shows off the clarity of the stamped image - WPlus9 are fabulous, and the fonts are so cute!!

I hope you like it!

Thinking of You Blues

Good Morning all.

I'm here with a little inspiration for you today in the form of my favourite floral set - Fresh Cut Florals from WPlus9 - and I'm happy to report to fellow fans that the add-on set "More Fresh Cuts" is currently winging its way across the Atlantic along with lots more goodies from WPlus9, Avery Elle, Lawn Fawn and our new brand Newton's Nook!

I've taken the set on the sympathy card route today and arranged a whole host of blue flowers in a cute urn die from Joanna Sheen.

I kept it fairly monochromatic using a blue-green for the leaves which reminds me of those lambs ears leaves I used to rub the white furry coating off as a kid!  After die cutting all the flowers and stems with the co-ordinating dies I went to town playing florist arranging them in the urn using the florists trick of 1, 3, 5 for the focal flowers and berries and filling in around with leaves.  Mounted onto a woodgrain background for added interest and finished with a banner stamped with a sentiment also from Fresh Cut Florals.

I hope that gives you some inspiration ready for when the new stock arrives - hopefully I'll be able to get the shop open towards the end of next week - I just need to get a few things sorted and then we'll be good to go.   Thanks for your patience - and for filling in the survey - I'm working my way through your comments and will do my best to meet your requests.  As with all things we'll need a little time to grow into all the new stuff we want to do so bear with us.  I'll answer some of the comments and requests in a post next week once I close the survey and announce the winner of prize - so if you haven't done it already this may well be your last chance so if you have 5 minutes to spare fill it in now Make the Day Special Customer Survey

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Joy

Hello.
Today i have used the ever so popular Fresh cut florals and matching dies from Wplus9.
I haven't used this set much at all ...totally love what everyone else does just couldn't get it to work out for me lol.
Well i finally have fallen in love with it :)
I wanted a clean and simple Christmas card and found these were prefect for winter berries.
The dies give the stamped images a really great quality finish.
The sentiment and dies cuts are also from Wplus9 but are currently out of stock.
We do have lots of the Christmas release here.
Thanks for looking.
