My Favourites of 2015

Wow! What a challenge.
Narrowing my favourite things down just to 3 was pretty much impossible.
But here goes!
First up; the company that got me into flowers again. It's not one set but a couple from Winnie & Walter. Their floral sets are gorgeous without being overstylised. You can create something more simple, watercoloured or life-like.

My second choice is the most perfect unisex set; 'Playful Pups'. I know it's popped out of stock presently but I had to include it! You can do 'what dogs might get up to scenes'
 Turn them into Ninjas...
 Go super simple..
or have them climbing a balloon ;-)
Your imagination is your only limit!
My last choice was more difficult. I, like Jenny, (see yesterday's post), love 'Take A Bough', So I
This die is a 'make whatever you want from it'. You can see a fried egg..

or maybe the usual doughnut, or just
 a plain iced biscuit!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my favourites. I'd love to know what the highlights of your crafty year have been!
I'd love to say thankyou for being supportive of this blog. I know all of us DT girls, really appreciate you reading and commenting.
Can I say a big Happy Christmas to you all and look forward to seeing you back in the New Year with an exciting line-up of more gorgeous new supplies!

Eggs & Bacon !

Hi! Hope you've all eaten..I was feeling a little peckish and had great fun creating this. I've created it using our new brand Reverse Confetti's products- and it's not at all from sets you'd expect.
The bacon? Well, that's an easy one..

One of the brilliant things about this die, is that each wave is equal, so it means you change the order of the waves to stack them- and I've used them simply in the background too.
For the bacon I used white cardstock and coloured it with an unusual combination of Gold ink & Plumberry Mama Elephant ink

To get the texture, I gently dabbed a nearly dry babywipe onto the ink pad and smeared the ink onto the cardstock. Because there's a little wetness on the wipe, it's a quick and easy way to spread ink. Once I'd got a combination I was happy with, I gently bent the bacon to give it a look of the real McCoy and then added a little Glossy Accents (for the glistening fat look!..yumm!). Before the Glossy Accents dried, I dabbed the babywipe back onto it, to stop it looking too uniform.
For the egg?
See the icing and the centre? there's the egg. It's out of stock- but now you've a wonderful gadget where you can fill in the 'email me when it's back in stock' next to any out of stock item to keep on top of the new stock when it comes in.
The stamp set I've used is another Reverse Confetti set

I've obviously just used the bottom part of the sentiment- and scattered some of the teeny hearts around.
It's a fun card to send to anyone you love/like or who just likes a good old cooked breakfast!
Where's the sausages and beans?

See you next week
