Admit one

Hello.
I am using some older Lawn Fawn  for toady's card.
I went with the Admit one set.
There are matching dies  too ...although i haven't used them on this card.
I stamped straight onto the card in black momento ink and coloured with my Pro markers.
The background was made using pro markers a pen spritzer and post it notes for masking.
I added it at a wonky angle that is very popular right now and it sits above some Lawn fawn papers.
I finished it of with some card candi that i coloured with pro markers too so that they matched the colour scheme.
Thanks for looking.

Admit one

Hello.
I took the more is more approach with today's card lol.
Not my normal more cas style.
As the new lawn fawn stamps and dies have arrived at make the day special i was having a play with an older set Admit one, this set is out of stock but i guess most of you already have it :)
I also used the new matching dies which you can find here.
I love that by having matching dies it rings this set back to life and no more fussy cutting.
I used all the dies and the stamps that go with them.
Coloured with copics and layered them up.
I also used Bannerifiic and matching dies and happy everything for the sentiment.
You can see all our Lawn fawn products here.

A Little 'Hi!'

I'm a huge fan of sending a little traditional mail every now and then and what's nicer than receiving a handmade card - especially when it's not for a special occasion? That means someone thinks you're special, right?

And luckily for me, my favourite stamps, from Lawn Fawn's Summer 2011 Release, are full of cute phrases and short sentiments, perfect for a general greeting.

I've made this card using the ticket and balloons from Admit One, a cute flower from Blissful Botanicals and a dinky sentiment from Cruising Through Life.

Why not have an afternoon creating some cards so that you have a little stock on hand? And a bit of ink on your fingers?

Spring Stashbusting Tags

Hello! Hello! It's been a long time, but I'm so pleased to be back with the ladies here at Make The Day Special. I've really missed playing with my lovely stamps - so I was thrilled to have some time this weekend to get stuck in. My fingers are now satisfyingly inky!

First I made a couple of little gift tag backgrounds using some teeny, tiny scraps. It's really simple, just stick them down, then sew them up! I thought the colours would be perfect for spring.

The first tag uses a partial sentiment and balloons from Admit One and a little cloud from Bon Voyage - both sets from Lawn Fawn's Summer 2011 Release. Still one of my favourite stamp collections!

Enjoy Tag

The second tag uses a simple sentiment from Cruising Through Life, another set from Lawn Fawn's Summer 2011 Release, and some pretty stars from Learning Year By Year, one of Unity's Store Kits.

Thank You Tag

Such super, simple stashbusting projects that will add a little 'something, something' to any gift.

One stamp two ways

Hello.
Ive been busy playing with Lawn fawn stamps.
I thought i would show a couple of ways to use the same stamps.
The set I'm using is Admit one.
For this card I coloured the Ferris wheel with my pro markers and added it to my card base with foam backing.
For this card i wanted to use the Ferris wheel as a silhouette.
So I stamped it onto black card and did lots of cutting.
I coloured the windows using a white pen.
The clouds come from the bon voyage set.
You can find both sets here
Thanks for looking.

Clinging To Memories Of Summer

Hello! Hello! I have no idea what kind of weather you're all experiencing at the moment, but I've been surrounded by grey, miserable rainclouds for the last few days - and I must apologise because they're seriously affecting my ability to take a good photograph of my crafty makes!

You're My World

I've been clinging to my memories of summer for as long as possible by using Admit One from Lawn Fawn's Summer Release. Though if you're hankering for some autumnal projects, may I suggest that you take a peek at the rather delicious Autumn Release now available?

You're My World

My sentiment is created using the super cute ticket stamp (which is set to be an all time favourite) and I've also used two of the sentiment stamps that came with the set. It's fairly easy to mask of individual words with a couple of Post-It-Notes and you end up with a whole new sentiment!

Here's a picture of the set, so you can see the original sentiments -

To add a little bit of 'pop' to the card, I've also added the larger of the two pinwheel stamps that come with the set, colouring it with Pro-Markers to co-ordinate with the spray ink on my card base.

Et voila!

You're Sweet!

Bigger isn't always better, right? I've a teeny little tag to share with you today that I made using the scraps leftover from making a layout. And, you may have guessed this already, but I like it more than the layout! It's just so cute and dinky!

You're Sweet

Just layer a few pieces of co-ordinating papers onto a cardstock base then delve into your stamp stash. I pulled out the closest set - Admit One from Lawn Fawn's Summer Release, found a little space for my sentiment and then added a 'popped up' element stamp. Punch a hole and thread through some leftover ribbon and you have an extra little 'sumthin, sumthin' to add to a card or present when you need to. And it takes less time than sorting your scraps or tidying your desk!

You're Sweet

teachers cards

Hello.

With a little help from Lawn fawn here are the cards i made for my kids to give to their teachers.

A very simple card using school house backdrops and quinns abc.

Finished with a badge...can you believe i do not own a apple stamp?

This card also used school house backdrops along with admit one and sophies sentiments.

I used some of my own alpha stamps too.

And I'm not sure that this one worked out ...ooops!
I used quinns abc for this and sophies sentiments.
Maybe i will try this again but with better placement of the letters.
All lawn fawn are available from make the day special.
Thanks for looking.

Lots Of Little Lawn Fawns

I've been busy making little cards from all of my scraps this week and I just couldn't resist using the stamps from Lawn Fawn's Summer Release. They are just oh so lovely!

Thank You

My first card features some of the leaves and a dinky little flower stamp from Blissful Botanicals and a sentiment stamp from Cruising Through Life.

Smile

The second card uses the most adorable clouds you'll ever see - they're from the Bon Voyage Set - along with the balloon stamps from Admit One and a sentiment from Blissful Botanicals.

Best Dad Ever

And, last but not least, an idea for Father's Day using the sentiment stamps from Say Cheese Too and a couple of stamps from Admit One. Cute, right? Go get 'em!
