Hello Baby Girl

Hi there and happy Thursday! Lydia here with you today and I have a super sweet baby card to share with you today, and although this one is for a baby girl by just switching the papers out for shades of blue it could quite easily be for a baby boy.

For the stamped sentiment and cute little paper-pieced bunny I have used Lawn Fawn 'Hello Baby'. Isn't that bunny the sweetest stamped onto the same paper from the background?!?!

The 'baby' I cut using Louie's ABC, I cut the word twice once from white card and also from some pink patterned paper. I layered the white sightly off-setting the pink to create a pink shadow effect. For the scalloped panel I used the midi size of the Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Scalloped Borders' I just love these to add a bit of detail and interest to an edge.

Thank you so much for popping by!

Pic'n'Mix Christmas!

Morning! I thought I'd do a bit of a combo card - there are a fair few products on this project but I wanted to show that not having Christmas sets shouldn't ever be a problem.
Let's play spot the set again!!
First up..Louie's ABC's. It's size is just brilliant - I've used it for both cards and layouts and it's one of my most used die sets.

The Cole's ABC's dies are not in stock right now- but a perfect substitute for 'world' would be Quinn's die set or Paper Smooches 'Alphawhimsy'.

I love the Snow Days paper, that I've used to back the die-cut negative space and also die-cut the 'world' out of

You can see the vellum trees cut out.. you could use this scalloped set for the same effect

The Snowflakes are from this set

and the cute little musical notes are from the Year Four set

And - lastly but by no means least, are the inks I've used- they're both Hero Arts ones- one is the gorgeous silver one

and the Pale Tomato ink

Well- hope you've enjoyed this 'little bits of everything' on a project. Take a look at your stash and see what seasonal projects you can create with non-Christmassy stash.
See you next week,

Too Cute To Spook Layout

Hi there and happy Friday! Hope you have all had a good week.

Today I'm sharing with you a layout....

Yesterday Lou shared a PL layout using these cute little characters from Mama Elephant 'Bootastic' and I thought it would be fun to share a traditional layout so show that as well as cards these lil guys work on just about anything :)

To add to the layers I cut Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Leaves' out of patterned paper, I think they look so cool!

For the sentiment I have used two Lawn Fawn sentiments- one die set and one stamp set. The stamped part is using 'Clark's ABCs' and the die-cut part is 'Louie's ABCs'. These sets are prefect sizes to work with layout and cards alike definitely good go-to sets to have in your stash!

Thank you so much for shopping by!

A different sort of relaxing!

Last week we were breathing deeply with a substantially serene card. Today? not so much! I've made a 'tongue-in-cheek' relax card and it's one that tons of you will relate to! The sort of card you'd send wishing someone a 'great holiday' or 'big adventure'.
It's that wonderful driving to your holiday feeling where you're bumper to bumper with the car in front. It's using this fun Lawn Fawn set 'Happy Trails'

Now, I'm not a massive camping fan (don't get me started on our camping disasters!) but this set is way more adaptable & I hope this card shows. I've also used Cole's ABC's but that's not in store right now, so I'd plump for Louie's ABC's instead. Once I'd die-cut the phrase, it was looking a little lost against the grass, so I outlined them with green and added a hefty dose of Stickles!
For any of you setting off soon, don't forget the really annoying kids CD's to be played full blast for the 'delight' of everyone else in the car.

See you soon,
Happy queuing!

Enjoy the break…and….relax

And…Relax!

Morning! Can't you tell it's the summer holidays!
There needs to be a whole ton of relaxing done.. except I'm not feeling it quite so much!
A card like this would be very welcome right now!
This is probably the simplest card ever.. but just goes to show that sometimes 'less' is most definitely ok!

I've used these lovely products- and for those that thought the font on Louie's ABCs dies might not be too large and only suitable for scrapbooking (ahem.. that would have been me ;-) ).. it's NOT.
It's perfect.
It also subscribes to the 'the bigger the product the more quickly finished the card' school of thought. A CAS quickie at only about 7 minutes in total!
The simple shadow is enough to give a little contrast and the tiny details are courtesy of the Hello Sunshine stamp set
Do try 'minimal'.. it's a wonderful feeling!
Oh.. and don't forget to breathe.. and relax today!

See you next week,

Keren xx
