A whimsey snowdude christmas

Hello.
I'm still making my Christmas cards and today I reach for some paper smooches stamps.
I still haven't got a Santa stamp can you believe that? So i had to use Jerome the gnome from paper smooches instead.

I have kept this very simple as I'm planning on making a few.
I made the background using a Lawn fawn stitched rectangle die and some distress inks.
My favourite mix at the moment is peacock feathers and chipped sapphire.
I then splashed with some glittery mist that i have,
I have Jerome as a single stamp but he is now available in the forest whimsey set.
He is coloured with copics to look like Santa and then fussy cut.
The robin and snowman are both from swanky snowdudes and again coloured with copics and fussy cut.
They are all adhered on foam tape.
The sentiment from joyful greetings is heat embossed in platinum.

Handy Stamps

Hi!
Have a couple of projects to share today..with a stamp set that came in very handy!
I do love a good challenge, and someone had wondered what I'd come up with using this set..so I thought I'd oblige ;-)
You've heard the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover'? Well this is similar ...look really really carefully. First up- an absolutely fantastic fingerprint stamp..

You can also add some teeny weeny faces to create a really fun set of his'n'hers prints just perfect for a wedding or love type card.
Next up...the hands. Looking carefully you'll notice I've actually stamped the hands upside down.. they're formed together making a heart shape with the negative shape, but if you flip them over, they look like they're waving and so fit like a glove (ahem..) with one of the sentiments!
Then, flipped the correct way, adding in some hearts also in the set, you have an elegant CAS cards perfect for more 'love' occasions.
 Now, there's a large hand.
Had I some flesh coloured ink, I desperately wanted to do a henna-styled hand, using some graphic flowers like the Altenew set Hennah Elements
Well I have to 'hand' it to Paper Smooches, this is a deceptively versatile set, and one that I'll be laying my hands on regularly (alright, enough of the puns!)

Do give some of the stamp sets in store a second glance...there are some real treasures to be dug up!

See you next week

Thanks friend

Hello.
Rather than my normal clean and simple look I have gone for some layers.
Love this layered look but find it really difficult to do.
I have layered up some patterned papers that i have had for ages.
Then I have used the paper smooches roses die, which holds some twine in place.
The thanks word die is cut twice in black and silver, the black underneath kind of grounds the word.
I stamped the friend stamp from sentiment sampler in black archival ink straight onto the paper.
I finished with some clear sequins from neat and tangled.

Colour week day 3

Hello.
I hope you are enjoying our colouring week so far :)
Tara, Jenny and Keren have gotten us of to a great start.

So as you can see I'm colouring this fun unicorn from Paper smooches Spectrum stamp set.
I have used copic ciaos pens.
I think we all have our own way of colouring and mine is pretty random lol.
I am far from an expert but hopefully i can inspire you to give it a go.

For this first image i have used the no lines technique.
To start simple stamp the image in any light colour ink, making sure its compatible with alcohol markers.
I have used momento dessert sand but have also tried with distress inks.
Hopefully you can see that i have started with the lightest colour first and gradually built the colour up.

For his one i have coloured the image completely with the lightest blue then continued as i did for the last image.

You can see i got a bit carried away and coloured all four images.
Once the main colouring was finished i added some extra little touches using a white gel pen and also with the copics just using a darker colour to add details.

Then fussy cut them all out.

Happy Colours!

I have a necklace which is just lots of buttons attached together and I call it my happy necklace.
So bright and sunny, I'm always asked if I've made it and where I got it from. Wearing it just makes me feel happy!
These colours on the card are like that. How could you not smile when surrounded by the rainbow of tones?!
I've just used two Paper Smooches sets (Design Motifs & Cyber Cafe) and the squiggle stamp is from Newton's Nook (Love a La Carte). Mixing and matching is the best way of getting an unique look
I decided the stripes were too heavy & so cut up the card to create a tag..
I should have left well alone!!
Have you ever wished you'd left things as they were?!!

Well, I'll see you next week.. I've still some teachers cards to finish- we've not broken up from school yet!
