Thanks a melon Tara

Hello.
Today we have something a little different for you.
The design team have all got together to organise a surprise blog hop for Tara and Rick.
We all wanted to say "Ta Tara" for all the work you do  and for the fantastic service you provide.
And to Rick for supporting Tara and the shop.
As I'm a bit useless at all of this i will let the rest of the team and their wonderful cards do the talking.
You will find the full hop list below and we hope you will join us In saying Thankyou.

I started by die cutting my two panels.
The scalloped one i coloured using distress inks to match the colours of the melons and then heat embossed in white the pattern from Sharp backdrops stamp set.
The stitched rectangle panel was cut from water colour card and the melons randomly stamped and heat embossed in white before colouring with water colour pens.

The full hop list in order is .....

Many thanks

 Hello.
Well according to the met office the 1st of September is the start of autumn so that means i can start using The lawn fawn stitched leaves dies.
I have mixed up the old set and the new smaller version.

I coloured some white card with distress inks first then die cut the leaves.
The largest one is from the original leaves dies.
Once they were die cut i added some more ink to the bottom parts of the leaves and dusted some perfect pearls in gold on them, it gives an amazing shimmer.
I also added some of the perfect pearls to water and splashed onto my panel and dried with a heat tool.
I wanted to add a matt using the new scalloped stackables from Lawn fawn and used some of the  card with colour on it.
It is a bit random but i like the little extra pop of colour and no card was wasted in the making ;)
To finish i stamped the sentiment from Many thanks and added some dots of gold liquid pearls.

Just so that you can compare the size difference the left is the original set and right the new smaller one.
Everything used is linked up below just click the images.

Stitching Borders

Hello.
Today i wanted to focus on the stitched border dies from lawn fawn
These are so versatile and don't have to be just a border.

For my first card i used the die twice both horizontally and vertically to make the design.
I then just filled the blank areas with some lawn fawn patterned papers and the die cut sentiment.

This card as very simple to do with the die used twice parallel to to each other i then masked the bottom section and coloured and stamped the top part with distress ink and blissful botanical stamp set.
I then used the quinns abc dies for the sentiment and used the same ink underneath.

Similar to the top card but this time i used a different one of the dies and ink to colour the blank spaces.
and kept the background of the die cut white for contrast.

3 little bears

Hello.
Just because something masculine doesn't mean it cant be cute to.
These bears from Lawn fawns party animals are perfect as a card for kids for their dad.

I stamped the bears in archival black ink onto watercolour card then coloured with Inktense pencils and a water brush.
Once coloured and dried i cut the panel to fit my card base that was already covered with beach side papers and used the new stitched borders dies from lawn fawn to add some extra detail.

I kept the sentiment super simple with the fun Owen's abc also from lawn fawn with their matching die cuts.
Once everything was put together i added some lawn fawn twine to finish.

Baked with love

Hello.
Today I am revisiting the baked with love set from lawn fawn but not for a birthday card but something a little different.

A recipe card!
Its all very simple and had I thought it out more there is so much more I could have done with it.
I have simply stamped and copic coloured some of the images and added some basic instructions for my most used cake recipe.
You could easily make it  two sided or even two pages and turn it into laminated recipe cards or a mini book or even line the inside of a birthday card.
You could also use lots of other Lawn Fawn sets and i will link some up that would work well with the baked with love.

Happy mail

Hello.
With all the  cards i make i rarely send many out, i have decided to make more effort in changing that.
The gleeful gardens stamps from lawn fawn have a wonderful snail mail sentiment that helped me decide.

Both cards are simple in design.
I used the gingham backdrops with hero arts ombre inks on the card base.
The die cut images are all coloured with copics and then adhered to the stitched circle panel.
The  cards as they are going to be mailed are mostly flat with no embellishment just the envelopes and bird on foam tape.
I selectively inked the sentiment to just use the parts i wanted.
