Happy birthday wishes

Hello.
I have two cards today using Wplus9's happy birthday wishes stamps and dies.
For my first card i stamped the large happy in shades of blue.
I stamped at an angle for a different look.
I stamped and due cut the balloons and added with foam tape and some twine.
The sentiment was stamped on vellum and adhered to the card using glossy accents.
I finished with some card candy in matching colours

The next card is almost the same as the first but instead of stamping the happy i die cut it from balsa wood
.The balsa wood is currently out of stock but we do have the Wood veneers and they will work just as well.

Balsa Florals

I've been dying to get my hands on some balsa wood thin enough to die cut so I can try the stamping techniques I've seen Debby Hughes try out recently and I finally managed to source some so am pleased to report I am now stocking it in the store too.  It's the first item in our "basic supplies" section - this will grow over the coming months so do let me know if there is anything else specific you would like me to consider.  [Edited - I made this card yesterday and the balsa and persian motifs went and sold out - now I'm out all day so don't have time to make a new card - both these oos items will be back just as soon as I can get them]

I started by die cutting a tag from the balsa using the Tag Stitched Die from Paper Smooches and stamping one of the flowers from Persian Motifs and embossing it in gold.  I coloured it with vintage photo distress marker and water to let the grain show through.

I used the Flourish stencil from Hero Arts  to create a soft background on my kraft base card with distress inks and then selectively inked spots of it to emboss in gold to match the tag.

I used the new sentiment set from Wplus9 to add a greeting - half on vellum on the base card and half on the tag itself.  I finished with a little coiled gold sparkle twine from Lawn Fawn - I won't lie I spent longer fussing about trying to get that how I wanted it than I did making the rest of the card!!!

If you've ordered the new Wplus9 release this weekend it will ship first thing Monday morning so not long til you get to play with it too!

Have a good week - I'll catch you on the flip side.
