A Baby Zoo Baby Set

Hello there! It's Lydia here with you today, so your clever Keren fix will be with you Thursday ;) . In the mean time I have a really cute baby set using Altenew 'Baby Zoo' , I know this is for a baby boy but if you just swap out the blue for pink it is quite easily for a baby girl.

Warning-this post is a little picture and text heavy :)

So in this set I have a card, a gift bag, tags and wrapping paper. I just love that by having a stamp set like this you can make everything coordinate.

Firstly the card and gift bag.....

I created the card by taking my card blank and adding a masking tape border around the outside, that way when I removed the tape I would have a clean white border around the edge of my card. I stamped the sentiment from the set first in black and then stamped the animals in blue, green and yellow.

For the gift bag I cut two of the Lawn Fawn 'Goodie Bag' dies and then stamped the animals all over them before sticking them together. The circle tag is from Lawn Lawn 'Stitched Party Banners', I stamped the elephants head and sentiment to it before punching a hole and adding it to the gift bag with some lemon twine.

Onto the tags and wrapping paper....

For the tags I cut some tag shapes from white card (you could use this set ). I stamped the animals and then added their detail layer in grey so as to not take too much attention from the sentiments that I then stamped in black. I love the sentiments in this set , they are so varied and some of them are quite unique! I added some lemon, lime and aquamarine twine to these.

For the wrapping paper I took a big piece of plain white paper and then stamped the animals randomly all over it before wrapping the gift and adding some more twine.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

A Seasonal Cuppa!!

Hi There :)

I'm promoting the good old English cuppa this morning but it has a seasonal twist on my card and gift set....

Yep, this play on words from the O' Christmas Tree carol seemed too good to pass up for a Christmas card and giant Tea Bag gift set. You could either put tea bags or loose tea in the little gift bag... I'm quite partial to a spicy seasonal cuppa myself ;)

The cup is from Avery Elle's Tea Time set which I've decorated with one of the dot stamps and coloured with Prismacolour pencils. I used the dies to cut out the cup and saucer then added the holly and candy canes from a couple of Lawn Fawn sets, to strengthen that festive feel :)

I added a few brushstrokes of water-colour for a backdrop and the gold flecks are made using a zig glue pen and gold foil.... I added a few dots of the zig pen and waited for it to become tacky before applying the foil and rubbing to transfer the shimmery gold...... waiting for the glue to turn from blue to clear is the important step for this technique!!

The sentiment is custom stamped using Mama Elephants Bella Letters.... it's fast becoming one of my favourite sets because the font and size are just perfect for cards and it's so easy to stamp too :)

The gift bag was a last minute addition and mine is made using a MFT dienamics die which unfortunately isn't available in store but is very similar to the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die... you just have to chop the height down so you remove the cut out handles and close the top as I've done here. I added a length of string with a tag on the end and embellished the front to co-ordinate with the card :)

Hot And Happy Chocolate Baggie

Hello , it's Lydia here with you today!

Hope you are all feeling well. Today I'm sharing with you a super cute gift bag that would be perfect to gift some extra special hot chocolate... yum....

For the bag itself I have used the Lawn Fawn 'Goodie Bag die' and the tag is another Lawn Fawn die, 'Tag You're It'. To decorate the tag I have used Lawn Fawn 'Love You A Latte' with some simple masking to create the scene.

Hope you likie! And I'll catch you again soon.

Don't forget the Sprouts!!!

Hello there :0)

Well, with the end of the school term approaching I thought I should turn my attention to making gifts for James to give to his teachers and friends for Christmas :)  I do like to look around the shops for festive ideas because some sweets are just begging to have homemade packaging.....

Marks and Spencers won me over this year with these foil wrapped chocolates made to look like Brussel Sprouts..... aren't they just brilliant ?? The old cogs started to turn as soon as I saw them, and in fact M&S have done all the harwork with these, as not only does the foil wrapper look good but so does the net bag they are in.
I simply used the Lawn Fawn Goody bag die with red card and cut a circle from one of the pieces. To make a plate I used the same circle die and one a couple of sizes larger to make a white ring around the aperture and the Flatware dies from Paper Smooches in Mirri card.
The bag of sprouts is a snug fit in the goody bag so the aperture in the front helps with that and they also look like they are piled nicely on the plate :)

I cut off the shop tag and replaced it with my own which has been made using the Tag You're It dies.
The candy stripe border has been made using the airmail stripe from You've Got Mail and the word Sprouts is stamped in Lawn Fawns Riley's ABC's ... to make the word stand out I used a solid circle stamp and a couple of shades of green ink to add some sprouts behind it :0)

M&S also have a bag of chocolates made to look like clementines in this style which have a hint of orange flavour in the chocolate....... I'm pleased to report that, according to the label, these Sprouts are just chocolate!! Phew...not sure the world is ready for Sprout flavoured chocolate !!!!

Spookatular Goodie Bags

Hellllooo and happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing with you two super cute treat bags using a few Lawn Fawn goodies. I have used the Goodie Bag die (it's currently OOS but these little toppers could work on lots of other gift bags or even on cards).

The cute lil critters are from the Critters In Costume set and then I have added the little bags and sentiments from Spookatular. The stitched circle from Stitched Party Banners makes an awesome place to add images and sentiments as it's such a great size.

I hope I have inspired you today to make your own Halloween treat bags and have a great weekend!
