Christmas Dreams!

Hi! How are you all today?
Continuing with the Christmas theme- I thought I'd dig out a few sets that haven't see too much ink of late. I absolutely LOVE the deer in this set..

Creating this card was fun. I wanted a one-layer card (ok..minus the bakers twine!) and wanted a background using Distress inks. I reckoned the quickest way was by using an ancient Embossing Ink pen that I scribbled all over my coloured (Copic & Promarker) image. Sprinkle over the embossing powder and then heat to set.

I wanted to have the reindeer flying in front of the moon, so made a simple circle mask.
I added lots of different coloured ink, added some mini stars & the twine for the reins
I used this set 'Critters Ever After' for the sentiment

So there it is.. a fun card you could send to a child.. so many of them are dreaming about what their presents might be and there are certainly more than a few adults with a few dreams of their own! Mine involve peace, quiet, a good book and a cup of tea!!

See you next week!

Girly Unicorn Birthday Card

Hi there and happy Friday! Lydia with you today and I'm sharing a card using some of the older Lawn Fawn sets.

This is actually the card that I gave my baby girl for her birthday ( she is getting too big ). She is such a girly girl so literally anything pink pleases her.

I created the shaped card blank using Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Party Banners' and the sentiment strip uses Lawn Fawn 'Speech Bubble Border'. I made the personalised sentiment using Clark's ABCS and the paper is from the Lawn Fawn 'Let's Polka' 6x6 pad. The unicorn is from one of my favourite LF sets 'Critters Ever After'.

All these Lawn Fawn goodies are in stock....... as well as the NEW RELEASE!! That's right only a day after America we have the new stock in and ready to be shipped out to you.

I'm off to put in my order, so have a great weekend.

Hugs Lydia xxx

Have A Magical Day

Yay it's Friday!!! Hope you have a great Bank Holiday Weekend planned , although it's looking like the weather isn't planning on being very sunny :-/. So it's my day today and I'm sharing with you a pretty bright card that will hopefully make you smile.

To make this......
* Cut a number (I have cut 10) of the larger borders from Lawn Fawns 'Stitched Scalloped Border Die' and add a little colour to the scalloped edge using Distress Inks ( I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean).
* Glue these borders together and attach to your card layer.
*Stamp the castle and unicorn from Lawn Fawn 'Critters Ever After' on to watercolour card using Archival ink. Colour using the same colour Distress Inks as before and a little water. Then fussy cut out.
* Cut a number of clouds out of vellum using Lawn Fawn 'Spring Showers Die' out of vellum and add these to the top of the scalloped borders. Then add the castle and unicorn to the scene.
* Add the sentiment using Milo's ABCs.

I totally love the freshness of these bright colours and lots of white. And what could be better than using vellum for clouds?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by!

A Froggy Prince

Happy Friday ink lovers!

It's my day to post over at Make The Day Special today, the shop may still not be open yet but Tara is working hard behind the scenes to bring you LOTS of new stuff...... I'm as excited as you guys as I can't wait to have a little (why am I lying to myself) big shop..hehehe.

Today I'm sharing with you a card using one of the older Lawn Fawn sets.... and although this is a older set is still hasn't dated and I don't think ever will.. everything on this set is just sooooo usable!

The frog is the smallest image in the set and just adding a little scene to him makes him work with so much white space... too cute.

Have a go adding a little scene to your smaller stamps ... hope I've inspired you a little to make your smaller stamps work a little harder.

Hugs, Lydia xxx

Critters ever after

Hello.
I'm here today with two cards made using Lawn fawns Critters ever after.
I have hardly used this set even though i have had it for ages.
I figured it was time to get it inked up and to practise my colouring.

For this card i started by stamping and colouring the  dragon  image and cutting it out.
Then i used the clouds from Bon voyage and heat embossed them before using distress inks to colour the background.
I machine stitched the main panel just as a little extra.
Then layered some die cut clouds, the dragon is raised on pop dots.
I gave the clouds a silver lining too with some diamond stickles.
Benneriffic stamps and co-ordinating lawn cuts were used for the sentiment.

This card uses lots of Lawn fawn goodies too.
I wanted to used the lawn cuts that co-ordinate with A birdie told me stamps set.
I decide to kind of make a story board type card.
Inside says Make a wish.
Here are all the products i used for both cards.

Items used but currently out of stock are
Bannerific
Bannerific lawn cuts/dies
A birdie told me lawn cuts/dies

Thanks for looking.

Make A Wish

Hiya, it's Ruby here. Today I have the cutest little dragon to share with you.  I have been wanting to use this little dragon from the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After set for some time now.  Isn’t he adorable!

I decided to paper piece him in different colours.  The flame is coloured in with red pen, I’m not that good at paper piecing lol.  The circle was just cut from a hole punch and then the star paper pieced.

Hope you have a great day!
