Hello crafty friends! Since I'm usually all over the place with different stamps and dies on one single card, I challenged myself to only use one set for this card .
I am using the Wplus9 Papel Picado stamps and dies. At first glance, it might not be immediately clear how to use them best. But I found that they work especially well then used with good color combinations or as a background.
This card is a birthday card for a guy, so I stayed away from everything that sparkles or could be considered female colors. And the blue with the light orange and yellow has a wonderful retro feel that I like.
The only indulgence that I allowed myself on this card was the pattern paper that peeks out behind the front of the card.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by or leaving a comment!

Shellabrate!!!
Hello and happy Friday! I hope the weather is as glorious where you are as it is here in North East Wales :) It is so lovely that the wee ones can play out in the garden in the summer holidays .. a sprinkler, bubbles and an ice-cream is all that's needed to keep my little entertained and it makes me so happy to see their joy enjoying the little things.
Today I'm sharing a card using a couple of Lawn Fawn sets and dies....
*Cut a piece of watercolour card and create a splotchy watercolour background using Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.
*Using watercolour paints create the sand and seaweed fro the ocean floor.
*Stamp sea dwelling critters from Lawn Fawn 'Critters From The Sea' and Lawn Fawn 'Life Is Good' with Archival Black ink.
*Paint the creatures with watercolours and using a shell stamp from 'Life Is Good' paint with water colour onto the stamp and then use to get this cool effect. Do the same with the bubble stamp to add more texture and layers to the background.
*On to some vellum use Clark's ABCs to create the fun sentiment and die cut this with Speech Bubble Border and then attach this to the card by folding the edges around the back of the card layer and gluing at the back.
Love the look of watercolours on this as I believe they are perfectly suited to under water scenes.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs Lydia xxx
