Merry christmas

Hello.
I wanted to go with a non traditional Christmas card for today.
As im in love with black white and gold as a colour combination i went with it.
I have used Lawn Fawns let it snow stamp set  and did some partial die cutting with the Avery Elle custom panels dies.

I added a layer of vellum too just for a different texture.
Although there are lots of layers its not too bulky only some parts are on foam tape.
I finished with some gold sparkle twine and a gold heat embossed sentiment form bows and holly.

Penguins

Did somebody mention penguins?
You sure did like the mama elephant ones, but if like me you missed out this time all is not lost.
We still have these seriously cute and great value penguins from Lawn Fawn.
They were coloured with copics and die cut with the matching dies.
I used the stitched rectangle dies for the panel and inked on some background before adding some of the stitched snowflakes also from Lawn fawn.
I like the happy holidays sentiment but its not very English so went with this one from Let it snow set.

Decorating Candles

Helloooo there :0)

As promised I'm back this morning to share the gifts I made for James's teaching staff and it's a technique I hadn't tried before!!!
I had bookmarked this video tutorial from Lawn Fawn DT member Yainea and finally got round to trying my hand at decorating pillar candles too. I've used the lovely Christmas stamp set from Lawn Fawn called 'Let it Snow' and simply stamped the four smallest trees in a variety of green inks onto white tissue paper.
I found it best to cut them out individually and arrange them on the candle using just a small dab of Pritt Stick to hold them in place.
I used a sheet of greaseproof paper to wrap around the candle whislt melting the tissue into the wax.... you really must keep the heat gun moving as it doesn't take long for the magic to work and keep the greaseproof taught and smooth too. I kept it simple and didn't try coloured images or embossing as Yainea did in her video but I was sooo pleased with the technique and may go on to give it a go :0)
I added a few wraps of jute twine and topped the bow off with a wooden star before placing them in cellophane bags (they are from the baking section of Sainsburys and are meant for sweeties but the Ikea candles fit them perfectly!!). The tags carry the woodland theme on and all those browns, greens and twine just make me happy..... yep I was quite chuffed with how they turned out :0)
If you haven't tried it yet I urge you to watch the video and give it a go.... you'll become addicted too..... yep quite a few people are receiving candles this Christmas from us :0)...... these two were very gratefully recieved.

That's all from me now before the big day on Wednesday so I'd like to wish you all a peaceful Christmas with your loved ones and that you stay safe in these horrible storms that are tormenting patrs of the UK!!

Merry Christmas!

Hello.
Another Christmas card ticked of off my list :)
I am having trouble getting good photos at the moment.
Lots and lots of heat embossing here. I heat embossed all the presents in white on watercolour paper before colouring with inktense pencils and water.
The background is distress inks with even more heat embossing using the snow and stars stamp from let it snow.
The presents are form Lawn fawns Bows and holly set.
Thanks for looking.

Noel

Hello.
I have another Christmas card for today.
I made the sentiment for this card using Quinn's capital ABC's and Bows and holly both from Lawn Fawn.
Everything has been heat embossed with in an inch of its life lol.
The letters are coloured with copics and the wreath was coloured with distress inks and inktense pencils.
I also used the let it snow set  for the snow drift which was also embossed.
I finished with some tumbled glass distress ink and dylusions white linen spray inks.
If you are still deciding on your Christmas supply's why not check out our Christmas section.

Lawn fawn Pop up card tutorial

Hello.
I have wanted to make a pop up card for a while and thought for my first try at making one i would share how i made it.
I hope i have made it clear enough.

Start with two pieces of card.
One plain card stock one patterned paper.
Both the same size.
Score to make your card base...both pieces.

Hopefully the picture explains how to score and cut.
You will only score and cut the plain card stock.

 It should like this inside.....

 And like this when folded.

Add double sided tape, be careful not to add any to the centre bit that's been score and cut.
Then stick together with your patterned paper.

Now choose your stamps and decorate the inside.

This is my finished card on the front I have kept it quite simple.

The inside, all popped up and 3d.
I have used all lawn fawn stamps.
Sets used are...
Let it snow and Critters in the snow, These are both out of stock ....But more are on the way.
This would also work well with Making frosty friends.
I also used .....
Thanks for looking.

A Chilly Milk Carton

Morning everyone... Jenny here :0)

At Christmas time I like to make fun packaging for sweet treats so my son
can give them out at the end of term to his classmates and teachers.

In my quest to find a suitable design and shape I decided to use the
Paper Smooches Chilly Chums stamp set to decorate a milk carton
to contain Frosty Snowballs... or sugar coated chocolate balls to you and I :0)

I cut the milk carton on my cricut expression using Tags, Bags, Boxes and more 2
and then stamped the snowy sky using Lawn Fawn's Let it Snow whilst the box was still flat.

The Chilly Chums are stamped and coloured with Promarkers before cutting them out
and sitting them in the snowy landscape... the trees are from Warm Hearts
and the sentiment from Freezy Fellas :0)

To close the box I punched two holes and then tied a ribbon through so it
didn't haveto be torn open.

I think the chilly chums look rather cute and lend themselves quite well to
fun packaging....especially at Christmas time :0)

Thanks for looking and hope you have some crafty time this weekend.

A Snowy Scene

Hello... Jenny here bringing you a little Lawn Fawn Christmas this Saturday morning :0)

I've stamped and cut out the chevron trees from 'Let it Snow' which is unfortunately out of stock at the moment, and tucked them into a snowy hillside made with torn paper.

The sky is patterned vellum over blue card... love that swirly design for a snowy sky and
some stickles for a touch of Christmas magic :0)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a crafting weekend :0)

Let it snow

Hello.
We are getting very christmasy here at make the day special.
I have used Let it snow from Lawn fawn....
And Lawn trimmings for my card.

The card was very simple to make.
I made the background by lightly sponging some blue ink for a moon effect.
Then i used the snowy background stamp with stickles.
You don't get the star shapes though.
Here is a closer picture, its very difficult picking up the sparkle.
Emily has got lots of new Christmas stamps and matching dies from Wplus9 here.
Thanks for looking.

Let it Snow!

My card for today uses the gorgeous stamp set by My Cute Stamps called Let it Snow which is available here. This really is a fab set which stamps beautifully!

I decided to experiment with vellum today and stamped various snowflakes and the sentiment on to two pieces of lilac vellum before embossing with white embossing powder. I then sewed the 2 layers of vellum on to the card base and then added some sparkly white fibres, a pin and some adhesive pearls:

Materials used: Papermill card, Bazzill vellum, My Cute Stamps, Perfect Glue Pad, white embossing powder, Papermania adhesive pearls, fibres and a pin.
