Christmas for the Younger Generation!!

Hi there :0)

I have two, fun Christmas cards today for the youngsters.... actually, the first would be great for anyone that's a Twitter addict fan .....

The Lawn Fawn set called #Awesome is just that!! ..... this little twitter app icon has been made by clear embossing the bird from the set onto white card and then covering with a mask so blue ink could be sponged around him. Then you can use the die from the matching set to cut the rounded square shape around him.

Finish off by adding a generous coat of Glossy Accents and top it off with the santa hat from Lawn Fawns Hats off to You. Of course the sentiment from Winter Sparrows is what sparked this idea and paired up with a hashtag is the perfect greeting :0)

(unfortunately #Awesome and Winter Sparrows are currently out of stock, Lawn Fawn re-stocks will be arriving next month)

My next card uses the fireplace from Lawn Fawns Cosy Christmas but by chopping it down in size I've turned it into a Chimney!!

Oh dear!! poor Santa has been eating too many Mince pies as always and got stuck... he obviously isn't impressed either ;0)
His boots are from a Paper Smooches set called Green Thumb... I had to have a go at reverse stamping to get a left and a right boot!! The little glimpse of red trouser is the trim from the Santa Hat (used in the card above) and the snow topping for the chimney is made using the snow bank in Lawn Fawns Winter in the Park. With some careful selective inking you can extend it to any length :0)

The sentiment from Paper Smooches Slang Gang seemed very appropriate... looking at it now it looks pretty much like a snow globe which wasn't my intention but another option for an interactive card!!!
The circle is cut using Lil Inkers Stich mat circles... each of the SEVEN dies cuts the stitching marks into the positive and negative of the circle die cut.... now thats value for money ;)

I've used the Paper Smooches Green Thumb stamp set for my Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge card this week to make a welcome card with a gardening theme!! It's Anything Goes this week and we'd love to see you play along too ..you can find the linky tool here

Feel Good Sunshine!!!

Morning everyone....apologies for my midday appearance!!
I've managed to make a card that fits the sunny weather today using the Picture inspiration over at Paper Smooches Sparks challenge .....

Aren't those Paper Smooches cloud dies clever how you can use different colours for the inside and edge of the shape!! The large grey cloud is inset which is easily done by placing a thin piece of card behind the raised panel to stick the cloud too.
The lovely golden sun is stamped using a solid circle from the PS set called Hullabaloo and the rays are from Green Thumb, the sentiment is from Salutations.
I think this would cheer any recipient up... nothing like some warm sunshine to help you feel good :0)

I hope you're enjoying some rays today too :0)

So Mulch Love!!

Yay for the weekend!!... the last one of the Summer Hols (Boooo)..... but at least the sun is shining :0)

I expect those of you that indulged in some new Paper Smooches goodies this last week have been getting them inky and creating... yes???
I couldn't wait to play with the new set called Green Thumb, having a hubby who is an avid gardener, I know it will get a lot of use :0)

To create the rows of veg in the allotment I used the scalloped edge from Border dies 1 and I found the sentiment fits perfectly in the wooden sign from Happy Camper too :0)
Hehehe ..... I've done a spot of companion planting putting radish and carrots in the same rows and it looks like Mr Mole has been along too, pushing them all out of the soil (just like in our allotment.... Grrrr!!).. but when you open the card.....

... you can see who the underground visitor is!!.... this little guy is from Smarty pants and he works so well with this set :0)...... can a worm be any cuter???!!!

Thanks for stopping by :0)
