Throwback Thursday

Hello!
Brrrrrr! It's getting colder-although we haven't seen the snow our American cousins seem to be having ❄️
Today's card may be considered a little bad taste (pardon the pun) but I got the idea from a pin on Pinterest I saw the other day and thought it would make a funny card 😉

Yes,I know I know,but it's kinda funny!
So,easy peasy to make-Wplus9 Milk and Cookies stamp and die, making a tiny slit for the straw. The scarf is simply the cookies die! How cool is that?! (Yup-more puns! Sorry!) The nose is just a tiny scrap of orange card and the eyes and mouth are the teeny tiny die off cuts. Talk about recycle! (And they say us crafters hoard-ha! Zero waste, more like it 😉 )

I hope you liked today's card and it made you giggle.
In other news, this is my penultimate post. My daughter has been gravely ill for some time, and is not responding well to her medication so I need to step back from the DT and spend all my time looking after her,but I will be popping back from time to time. It's been a sad desicion but family comes first. Tara has an awesome replacement lined up,so you will meet her very soon!

Have a great Thursday!

Thanks You're My Hero

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a good week and have a super weekend planned. I think we are having a chilled weekend as it's the end of the first full week in school I just want to spend some snuggle time with the kids and not have to rush around.... sometimes having no plans is the best plan, don't ya think?

Today I am sharing with you a super fun card using a couple of the adorable sets from Mama Elephant.

The characters and balloons are from 'Up & Away' which I have paper pieced. Wit the balloons I did three layers to create dimension to them. I used two sets fro the sentiment 'Sketchy Letters' for the 'thanks' and the rest is from 'In My Heart' (sorry OOS).

The background clouds I made by cutting a mask from scrap paper using the 'Landscape Trio Dies' and inking over it in different places using Salty Ocean Distress Ink and then adding a layer of vellum to soften it further.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Awesome Dad

As it's Father's Day in the UK on Sunday I thought I would share with you one of the Father's Day cards I have made this week.

* I stamped the large paint stroke from Wplus9 'So 80's' in a number of Distress Inks (Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean) along the right hand side of my card base.
* I then inked round the edges using DI 'Iced Spruce' and a blending tool.
*The 'awesome' is also from the 'So 80's' set and the #1 and dad I have made up using the Mama Elephant 'Sketchy Letters'.

Super simple ... yet it packs a punch. You could easily change the sentiment up on this and use for male birthdays and changing the colours for a teenage girl would be good.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
