Furry Friends

Hello.
Today I have two cards to share using the super cute set "Furry Friends" from Avery Elle.
I used this sweet little puppy with black soot distress ink and using a water brush pulled the colour from the stamped image.
This is a really simple but effective way to colour.
I then only added some pink onto the cheeks.

This time i used the smiling cat and coloured her with copics.
The bed is patterned paper.
I used the brushed stamp set to make the background using the new Linen pigment ink.
I like that the cards are clean and simple but with little details

Lots of Luck

Hello.
This smaller set, Lucky charm is just perfect for wishing anyone some luck.
Full of images that represent lucky charms you can use them so many ways.
I have two looks, the first is very busy with lots going on.
I used the cat image and coloured with colour soft pencils. the die cut cat is then layered on the stitched circles from Lawn Fawn.
The background is lots of the other images stamped in Avery Elle inks.
I finished with some clear sequins.

Next i have a very clean and simple one layer card which is just as effective for wishing some one luck.
I stamped in black momento ink and coloured with colour soft pencils direct on to my Kraft card base.
The sentiment is stamped in black archival so that it stands out more.
It was kinda tough not adding anything else but I am glad i didn't i think ant more would have ruined it.

Krafty Christmas

Hello.
I have a love hate relationship with Kraft card, I love it when i see what others do but struggle with it myself.
I think i may have over come that with this card using Winnie and Walters Winter woodland set.
I cut a small panel of kraft and stamped using silver fox and  green Avery Elle inks.
I stamped the deer also in Avery Elle inks then masked before creating the snow with the silver fox ink and sponge dauber.
I stamped the pine cones on some scraps of kraft and fussy cut them out then added on some foam tape and finished with a bow of lawn fawn peppermint twine.

Deck the halls

Hello.
As Christmas is getting closer i thought id better start proper making my cards and tags.
Today i have used the deck the halls mini set from Lawn fawn and the winter gifts stamps.
And the tag your it die cuts and stitched rectangles.

I stamped everything in the new Avery Elle inks and it works perfectly on my Kraft card stock.
The colours stay true.
I added some stickles to the snowflakes and some glossy accents to the berries.

I changes it up a little for the tag and used the vellum to soften the black snowflakes.
I then added dots of stickles to the vellum.

The Kings New Clothes & Avery Elle

I'm posting something a little risky today. I've been playing..with paint. The reason that I've titled the post 'The Kings New Clothes' is that any moment you'll realise I actually can't paint and I've just made it up!
Once I'd finished moving paint around, I wanted to stamp a sentiment and a border and this set was perfect
I've used the 'Thanks', the dashed line around the edges and in the next pic you might spot the tiny circle that I've used to highlight the circle. It's a brilliantly versatile set that you might have overlooked but would do for tons of occasions.
Well I'll cut and run… do check out the Avery Elle inks here- they're beautiful!
See you soon,

Thanks for everything

Hello.
This is the first of two blog posts today so do check back later :)
I'm using CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies and Avery Elle pigment inks  for my card.
I wanted to play along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to use ovals.
I started by cutting the ovals form kraft card and one smaller in white.
I die cut the Casual tree then i coloured the die cut with the inks and a cotton bud (q-tip).
I then added it back to the oval .
I then stamped some of the small dot stamps from Wallflower.
Then i put the oval back into the nestie i used to cut it and spritzed a light blue copic around the edges.
Then i stamped the sentiment in black archival ink.
I added some glossy accents to the pink areas.
Once that dried i used foam pads to stick the panel to the oval card base.
There is also a coordinating stamp set to the casual tree dies called casual comfort.

Throwback and chalky Thursday

Hi all :-)

Ready for another Throwback Thursday?
Today I am testing out the new Avery Elle pigment ink in Pure White to see how it fairs in the chalkboard test :-D
First up,I wanted to make a background using the gorgeous Unity Itty Bitty Born an Original, which is a great alternative to some of the pricier rose sets around. Its a great size, like all the Itty Bitty's,and makes a great background stamp.

I love how this turned out and can't wait to get a layout on it for the scrapbook. As a grunge fan,I wanted it to be a bit 'grubby',so in with some smudging.

The ink is beautifully juicy and vivid-I'm hooked!

I didnt stop there,oh no. I made an Easter card with the not-so-throwback Avery Elle Happy Spring. I love this set sooo much (swoon, sigh, swoon)

So,there is the white. It is super juicy, super vivid and just plain super :-)
