Today we are sharing a few projects all using the same technique we hope you enjoy them.

Direct to paper technique

The direct to paper technique can be used in a number or ways.  It is using your normal ink pad without a stamp and, as the name suggests, applying it direct to the paper.

Sheila

Sheila used Broken China, Bundled Sage and Worn Lipstick Distress ink directly on 12x12 White Textured card stock to make a beautiful background for this layout. The background was 'water splattered' before stamping round the edges. The hearts have been stamped onto textured paper and coloured with Worn Lipstick too. The Tag has been inked the same way ready to Journal on.
Stamps used are Donna Downey and Unity.

 Jenny

Jenny swiped a Stampin Up Garden Green ink pad in a circular motion to create a landscape for

her Paper Smooches sheep to gamble on :0)

The sky has been inked using a sponge over a scalloped border to create clouds.

Stamps used are Paper smooches "party possee"

Kate

Once the card stock was cut to the shape of a pocket Kate rubbed a night of navy ink pad directly onto the card. It took a few goes to achieve the " Denim" look.
All stamps used are from Lawn Fawn
 Jo

Jo has gone for a fabulous clean and simple design by masking before adding Versamagic chalk ink directly to the kraft card..
Stamps used are Unity.

Clair

Added all of her inks direct to the page, then blended them with a baby wipe to create a summer sky background. Used stamps from Bannerific and Cruising Through Life by Lawn Fawn.

 Emily
Emily used inks to colour the chipboard arrows
Paper, Alphas and twine by Lawn Fawn
Emily used the spring ditress inks over an embossed image to make a subtle background.
Alpha and twine used are by Lawn Fawn
Embossing folder by Spellbinders

Scenic Route sticker
Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Smile Crocodile!!

Good Morning and happy weekend :0)

Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you that I made this week using the new Lawn Fawn set called Critters Down Under.....

I have paper pieced the cute croc from the set and given him lots of space to wander in.
You can't quite see in the photo but I have given him some shape by using a ball ended embossing tool to rub over the back of certain areas with a foam mat under to help give a smooth shape.

Can't wait to have time to play with the rest of the cute critters in the set!!

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for looking :0)

She Always Knew...

Hi everyone. It's been too long since I last posted here. Many of you may sympathise with the curse of the missing mojo. Mine's been gone so long, I think it may just have emigrated. So today's post from me is a little different....I bring you the adorable 'She Always Knew' stamp from Unity, not on a card....or even a scrapbook page....but just hanging about in my craft cupboard trying to help me find my missing mojo.

Here's the cute stamp (I call her 'Molly mojo' in my house):

And here she is searching for my mojo in my button jar...
 ...and art journal

So there you have it, if all else fails this little stamp set guarantees an hour of fun colouring the figure, cutting her out and creating your very own story board. She's perfect for bringing to life!

(Ps you can see how the story ended here)

Have a great Friday.

Simply Betty......

Hi there...
Today I've got a simple little card to show you.
I have used a 'Simply Betty' stamp. The rest of the range is available from Emily here
These will be available for a limited time only, so grab one whilst you can..They are great fun and also really good quality and stamp very well.
I have also got this one, so if I have time I'll show you her too...
I love this lady, she has so much attitude!!! I really didn't need to do an awful lot with her......Just coloured with ProMarkers and matted onto some toning paper. The fab sentiment is also available from Emily too, by Paper Smooches, 'Pretty Phrases'
Thanks for looking and I'll see you again soon.

Bon Voyage

Hi everyone, it’s Ruby.  Where is the time going?  It can’t really be a week since I posted last, can it?!

Here’s my card for today.   I love patterned papers so it’s great to have a really simple design that you can use over and over again with all sorts of different stamps.  This card could work for so many occasions just by switching out the car for something else and changing the papers to something a bit more elegant/funky/masculine.  There’s a whole world of opportunity out there for it lol

Bon Voyage
Please accept my apologies for the not so great photo.

I stamped and coloured the Paper Smooches car from the 'My Guy' with Copics, adding Ranger Enamel Accents to the centre of the wheels for some added interest.

My Guy

What would your go-to stamp be for this kind of design I wonder?

Have a great week!
