Arigato

Happy Friday everyone. i don't know if it's just me but this week has seemed to glide by at a snails pace.... I actually thought it was Friday yesterday ?!?! As they say nothing ruins your Friday like realising its Thursday.... well that's how I felt yesterday... oh well it's Friday now :-D !

So today I'm sharing with you a freshly inked set... Lawn Fawns 'Let's Roll'....

*Firstly I cut the small banner from Lawn Fawns 'Stitched Party Banners' out of stamping card.
* To create the little scene I firstly stamped the green sauce and masked it, then stamped the sushi rolls and masked them, then stamped the soy bottle and masked that and then stamped the wooden dish.
* While all the masks were still on I stamped the flowers from the set in a light grey so they would look like they were behind the food.
* Using Copics I then coloured in the scene.
* Add some twine bows to the banners holes.
* Cover the card with a piece of stripy paper from Lawn Fawn 'Let's Polka' 6x6 pad.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday

Hello
Happy Throwback Thursday!

Todays card is made using what can only be described as a stamp phenomenon-the set that drove everyone into a complete frenzy- WPlus9's Fresh Cut Florals. Holy moly,we all went nuts for this set! If you do not have it,grab one now to have the original set that sparked a ton of 'copy' stamps.
Ok,so,I have used it on a 60 years young card for my awesome Godmother.

No fusty musty florals on THIS card! No way.

There are some great accent pieces in this set-I stamped and cut until I had a big pile next to me,then just tried them out in various places over the card until they looked right.

I hope you like it as much as she did ;-)

Happy shopping!

Sparkle and shine

Hello.
Have you seen lots of goodies have arrived at Make the day special this week.
Among them, are the stamps Ive used from Neat and tangled.
My first card i have used the circle from sparkle and shine then used the little row of dots that decrease in size.
I simply stamped in various colours around the circle which was a great guide even though you can see it :)
Once i had the big circle pattern i stamped the happy from everyday circles and cut out this was added to the card with foam so that its raised a little.
Then i stamped the birthday sentiment from the same set.
Once that was  all finished i felt it needed a little more so used some of the spring mix sequins.
I added a teeny bit of diamond stickles to the centres once they were adhered to the card.

For this card i simply used the sparkle and shine set.
I stamped the diamonds in grey pink and yellow and used some of the smaller stamps as accents around them in the same colours.
Once i had stamped the sentiment i lightly spritzed with glimmer mist and its so sparkly in real life.
Of course i wasn't done yet and added some small touches of diamond stickles.

The Start of Something New...

Hey! It's Tuesday again!
I've been making such complicated cards recently, I thought I'd do something simple. I had a spare piece of stamped out 'map' from 'Wanderlust' knocking around on my desk & it sparked off a card idea using this set.
Remember those days of a new relationship/friendship or a big holiday adventure? I thought it would be fun to make a 'text' card using the sentiment & the 'map' stamp. I did a little stamp surgery on the sentiment to make it fit my speech bubble, cut out a frame from Coredinations cardstock & then just added the little details. The card is practically phone sized & makes a nice change from the same old same old! Do check out this Mama Elephant set- there's only half the stock left from when I last highlighted this set- & they'll go before you know it!

Hope you have your own adventure today!

Love, Keren x

A Leafy One Layer

Happy Monday to you :0)

I was wondering what stamps to use for today's card and a quick browse around the challenges helped me to decide so I've opted for a quick, one layer 'off the edge' stamped card.....

I've used Avery Elle's Modern Leaves in a gorgeous green, blue and sandy colour palette and teamed it up with a sentiment from Avery Elle's Brushed stamp set, I adore the scripty font which goes so well with the sketchy-ness of the leaves :0)

I find these random style stamped cards quite tricky and I'm still not sure that I've acheived the look of 'random ' but practice helps and in this case I do think that Less is More so I walked away before I overdid it ;0)

Don't forget to join in with our sketch challenge this month, the details can be found here..... if you made an order over the weekend with all the new stamps and restocks in store, we'd love to see you put them into action and our challenge is the perfect reason :0)

New, new and more newy newness!

Well - have we got some new goodies for you this weekend or what!   The following have all been loaded in the store this weekend:

  • Lawn Fawn - latest release and restocks including the polka paper pad
  • Papersmooches - latest release and restocks
  • Neat and Tangled - SEQUINS (yeah!) and the latest release of stamps (the hope stamps is backordered)
  • Newton's Nook - the last couple of releases PLUS all the Christmas stamps that have been oos for ages!
  • Avery Elle - new release, restocks and storage panels!
  • Wplus9 - ALL the floral sets are back in stock as is hand letter hello!
  • and last but no means least - Lil Inkers - restocks where they had any left plus some more stuff I didn't get first time around.  They didn't have huge stocks but I will be ordering again soon.
Phew - that's quite a lot!

If you made a pre-order for Lawn Fawn, then that shipped yesterday so should be with you very soon.

I managed to play with some of it - which I'll show you below (assuming any of you are still reading that is "wink")

For this simple thank you card I used the new scripty thanks die from the new Lawn Fawn release with their polka paper - quick, simple but effective and fun.

Then I couldn't resist playing with Avery Elle - LOVE these giant balloons.  Simply cut a bit of one with the matching die so it could drift up the card before stamping them slightly overlapping, adding the strings and finishing with a wink of stella for shimmer.

Finally, I made a card using probably my most favourite thing from the whole release - the new cover-up die plates from Lil Inkers - swoon...     This is the swirl version.    I cut it twice, once from 300sgm white card and then once from DP that I covered with easy lift tape BEFORE cutting it out - that way you can easily piece the little pieces into the white and the thick card gives you a flat surface when you've finished.   The sentiment uses another gorgeous new Avery Elle set - So Happy.
